Take her to try it on. She probably thinks it wont suit her, but you can never tell what something is going to look like until you try it on. If you can also try on the same dress in a browny colour at the same time then that could help you make a decision too.

Try and be accomodating to her, but at the end of the day if she is just being awkward put your foot down and tell her that she will wear what you choose!

Whose wedding is it ????? While it is nice to try and be accommodating to what she wants, she cannot dictate to you what colour she will wear. Take her to try on a few dresses in the colours of YOUR CHOICE and then decide.

PS... I am using sage green for my bridesmaids and believe me it looks wonderful and I think you should go with what you want. I will post a picture of a wonderful green bridemaid dress we are considering in my photo album. The only reason we haven't bought it yet is it's an online dress and my bridemaid wants to try on, so we are trying to find one similar but if we can't we will buy that one.

I am only having one bm at my wedding as im having four pageboys. I said to her that i would like a sage green colour (or something along those lines), I showed her a dress on the b h s website so she could get an idea, (not the style but the colour), she said she didnt like it and wasn't wearing it. She suggested red, but i explained that my friend that is getting married two weeks before me is having the merlott colour from the same website so i didnt want it, plus one of my pageboys has ginger hair. She said she would be happy to wear pink, but im not sure if i want that colour, then i suggested a light chocolate colour and she she said ok that sounds nice. But over the past month this green colour has stuck in my mind and no matter what other colour i think of its always at the back of my mind and i keep going back to it, then i thought of mixing green and brown so it was a compremise but dont know if they will go. I don't want blue as i had it when i got married before. I dont want to upset my bm as she is my only one and also my h2bs niece. I know its my day but am i being selfish wanting that colour as ive considered other colours but really like that one. I just dont want to look back on my big day and say i wish i'd had that colour. Please help any other colour suggestions are welcome but please bear in mind my pageboy has ginger hair (although its not a bright ginger). Im not going shopping for my dress or bm dress until about april time so i have time to think about it, please help i dont know what to do. thanx.

I'm sorry but I don't understand why you should change your colour scheme, to accomodate a bridesmaid.

thanx ladies, ive kind of told myself, that it might end up being a case of if i see something i really like then i will probably get it even if its a different colour, but im not going shopping for her dress for months yet so i could still change my mind lol. x

we are havign green colour and if my bm dont like it then they can sit with the guests in there own clothes..... my wedding not theres!! you should think same way! x

Don't know if anyone else has receommend this but what about the sage with brown bow type thing around the middle or the other way around.
