Is anyone else considering doing a brides's speech? I must reiterate that I do like to stray from tradition, i proposed, i'm very much for equality in all things! So I want to do this haha x

I won't be as I don't like public speaking, but I have been to a wedding where the bride did a speech and it was lovely. The wedding itself will be enough for me as I don't like to be the centre of attention x x

I'm the shyest person around but I really want to do one just to personally thank everyone. Thinking I'll do it and give the gifts out.
I WOULD LOVE TO!!!!! im not afraid of public speaking but i know i wont be able to do it, i am so emotional just now about everything to do with love, engagements and marrage and i know i would just end up crying through the whole speach, i got a poem for my mum and i couldnt even read it out to my daughter because the tears were streaming down my face, but do it hun and post it on here so i can read it another excuse for me to bubble lol.xxx

I will be doing a speech. I haven't seen my dad since I was 5 so my son will be walking me down the aisle / "giving me away". He will be 16 then and I know he will HATE to get up infront of people and do a speech. xx

I am doing the speech.... H2B has a stutter and the vows alone are scaring him as in front of everyone so a speech would petrify him so im going to do it. It wont be long but thank people for coming and his family for welcoming me xx

I'm doing one. I don't know why really - H2B and BM are both really chatty and happy to stand up in front of people as is my dad.. But I just feel like doing one - I think it will be a nice way to thank everyone - I have a thankyou poem to read out. It'll only be short but I think I'll do it! xx

Im not going too, im just going to make sure my h2b says thanks to the people we need to from "both of us" kinda thing. I stutter wen I talk in public so i couldnt go through with it x

Im not unless i have to if i feel something has been left out in which case it would also be off the cuff. Im not afraid of public speaking but the less stress put on us girlies on the day the better x

I am meant to be doing a little speech. Best get cracking really as haven't written it yet. My dad isnt there for numerous reasons, so my grandad is stepping in and giving me away but he doesnt do speeches...so I am! xx

I dont know if I'll say anything yet, if I do it probably will be off the cuff. Im an instructor at cadets and regularly have to teach adults and cadets so speaking in front of others doesnt bother me. But id like to think that h2b will do a good enough job for both of us x

I'm going to get cracking on writing my speech this weekend while Ant's on his stag do and I love being centre of attention and talking so I think it will be expected!! hahaha
Ant think i'm just going to cry all the way through the day! I blubbed big style on my hen do just because I was so happy!!
