My suggestion is p1nt3r3st just type in wedding favours and you will have lots of inspiration

We are doing jars filled with hot chocolate powder, topped with chocolate chips and marshmallows, going to put personalised labels on the jars and a silver bow round the top xx

We're doing sweetie jars because it works out the cheapest thing for us to do. Plus we thought we're never going to please everyone with favours, so we might as well go down the sweetie route as the majority of people are going to like sweets. It's also a good way to incorporate our pastels colour scheme and we can have pastel coloured sweets :)

We're using baby food jars which people with babbas have been saving for us, so they're free.. ordered pastel coloured material tops to go round the lips really cheap from China, got cheap stickers to go on the front of the jars, and twine and a small key for each to tie round the tops. The sweeties themselves will be really cheap as well - should work out under £1 PP :) xx

    Thanks ladies!

My aim is to find a pair which are nice but a small heel one for comfort but most importantly so I don't tower over h2b lol I like these because they have sparkle and look nice, they need to be dyed ivory so ive mailed the company to find out if I should order a white pair to send back or if a dyed pair can be sent back, they only state in there returns that returns are free and within 30 days so doesn't say if I can or cant return a dyed pair xx

Argh! The wedding co-ordinator at our venue is so annoying. I e-mailed her on Monday with a question and she still hasn't replied. She's pregnant so I hope her replacement is better.
I'm having a complete chew on with the h2b over guests as his mother is interfering. I'm really fed up at the moment :'( x

She doesn't get on with her husband's family but h2b is saying he can't invite members of her family and not his father's, (This is why he wasn't inviting auntys and he has told her this but she doesn't listen!) so she said I don't want to be anywhere near them (emotional blackmail!) then get your Dad to pay for them if he wants them there! Believe it or not they are still together even though the above doesn't really imply that!

My parents have given us £2000 towards the day and haven't said a word about who is invited, they have given us nothing (I wouldn't want it as she'd take that as a green light to take over!) and she's causing chaos! I want to tell her to do one but I obviously can't! lol It's really stressing me out. xx

My favourite interferring comments are from strangers or people who have nothing to do with your wedding. My latest example was meeting a florist and a random customer in the shop started getting involved and say we could hire a boat to go from church to reception venue. Yeh love, along the kennet and avon canal and Thames through about 12 locks sounds like a great idea on our wedding day... It got funnier when she suggested getting a speed boat. Because clearly we are in a James Bond film.

For anyone doing a sweet buffet, I've heard the bay is much cheaper to get the sweets than wholesalers x

We've been lucky with interference to be honest, people have had opinions which is natural but no malice in them. Which is a relief because I did think people may have had something to say about who we have invited to what but now we only have 3 save the dates left to send out so everyone will know if it's all day or night only invite. My mom keeps worrying that I'm worrying about people kicking off but I've told her 1000 times, if people don't agree with our decision they don't have to come, I'm not worried one bit because the people who know what we're like and are the closest to us will be there so...
feel sorry for the people who have someone sticking there nose in, as I would lose my temper lol oppps

We don't want to invite my uncle, his wife and their 2 kids. At all.... although I will compromise and invite them to the evening only. I know certain people won't be happy about it (it is my dad's brother after all...) but I really don't want them there. It makes it a bit more tricky because effectively my dad would be paying for their meals, so we can't use the excuse that we don't want to pay for people we don't want there. But my OH and I weren't invited to their youngest's christening because we weren't "immediate family", despite my grandparents' neighbours getting invited?!? So I hate to be petty but I just think, why should I? I've never even met my cousin and she is now 3 years old. Not to mention the fact the wife randomly deleted me off FB without even an explanation as to why?!

Sorry turned into a bit of an essay lol.

I can be very stubborn when I want to be and I think we would be being more than fair just inviting them to the evening.. that's more than they even deserve! Maybe they'd decline the evening invitation as the venue is about a 30 min drive.. so potentially they might not want to take the kids etc...

I'm just worried about upsetting my dad, as at the end of the day it is his brother and I don't want to cause any bad feelings between them. xx
