I'm having a little melt down. 1st of all I seen my dress in a magazine and didn't like it. Just trying to remind myself I didn't like it on the hanger either but loved it on. 2nd I'm freaking out that we haven't enough money saved yet and will prob need a loan. And the big one I'm not sure I want the big day!! I've never been sure but my other half really wants it. I'd be quite happy with a small intimate wedding. All that money on one day. Plus his guest list is a lot longer than mines. Feeling scared!!!!!! I'm also reallyyyyy wishing we booked our wedding for later this year then we would have started saving sooner and been able to have another baby. Really worried that I'll have too big of an age gap for my little boy.
Sorry for the rant ladies

How old is your little one?
Can't you try your dress on again and see if all those feelings that made you pick that one comes back? Have you spoken to your h2b about how you are feeling xx

He will be 2 & 8 months when we get married. We tried a year for him so hope it happens straight away next time. Yea I think I need to try my dress again but I really didn't like it on the hanger either only tried it as my mum picked it out. Yes I've spoken to oh but not sure how serious he thinks I am. He said that if we don't have the day we talked about and planned we will regret it and just keeps telling me not to worry about the money that we will get there and it will all work out. I have always wanted to have a destination wedding but my dad is ill and can't travel so that rules that out. Thanks for your reply. Just needed to vent

Aww I hope you do have the wedding you dream of. My OH wanted another baby straight away when we'd had our little boy but I just couldn't do it. We had a very traumatic birth so wasn't in a rush to have another. We've said as soon as the wedding is over we will try again. He will have just turned 3 in the July as we get married august. Bug hugs xx

Danielle first thing breathe you will be fine don't get to stressed, like the ladies said go back and try your dress again and im sure you will have the same wow feeling you did before! Seeing your dress on a model is no use as its not you in it and its never gonna look the same so don't compare that to how you feel in it.
Speak to your H2B again and get it off your chest maybe come to a compromise on certain things that make you happier and regarding having another baby if you did would you be able to do both if you are struggling with saving now? and you never know you might fall pregnant really fast after the wedding and your little boy will only be over 3 when his new brother or sister is born.
We had planned on a baby this year but we both sat down and spoke about it and we thought well we I have waited this long to become a mum so lets wait until after the wedding I know we would end up getting married years down the line if we had a baby now as we just couldn't do both.
Your H2B is correct on one part it will all work out and you will have the best day of your life just enjoy the planning and the lead up to it xx
My boys are 6 1/2 years apart and have such a good relationship. Yes the older one gets a little annoyed with the younger one at times but he's very protective over him and they have fun together.
I'm sure when you try your dress on again you will still love it and get the feelings back you had when you first tried it on. Dresses look different on other people. The dress I have chose isn't one I thought I'd go with. When I see it on the model I don't like it as she doesn't pull it off very well and I actually didn't take any notice of it the first time I went on the bridal shops website. When I look at pics of myself with the dress on it looks totally different so I'm sure you will be fine.

Thank you so much everyone! I've settled down about my dress. Still stressing about money and whether or not I want the big day. I do think I will love it just hope I don't regret all the money on it. As I said my dad can't go away so if we went away it would be the 3 of us which isn't fair to our parents. Plus my oh really wants the big day and it's his day too. Hopefully we will be lucky enough to fall pregnant after the wedding. I would ideally have like 2.5 years between them. We didn't think of that when we booked the wedding. It wouldn't be possible to have one before the wedding financially. Plus I am starting a new job soon so wouldn't want to fall pregnant straight after that. Thanks again everyone I really needed some reassurance from other brides to be. Hope I didn't put a dampener on the post! Xxxxxxxx

Think I might buy it sooooon :) it's exciting now we're starting to look at decorative bits and the smaller things! Been trying to contain myself as didn't want to do things too early and regret it later on, but definitely want to buy lots of bits and bobs in the next few months!
Just been having a play about with InDesign at work and drafted up these. So chuffed with myself haha.

Thanks again ladies. That's lovely flossie, I was looking at invitations of a similar design but quite expensive. Think I'm gonna try making my own. If I decide to get a photobooth there will be a guest book with that but if not I might get one of those drop box guests books love them. Welcome Amy!

Danielle, I'm making my own invitations too. I'm using the same background as on the advice cards and they are going to have a vintage/rustic kind of feel about them. I'm lucky because I have good software at work to make things like that and I can also use work's printer and paper hehe, so working out really cheap for me.
Would love one of those drop box guest books but they are soo much money! Love them but not sure can justify the cost.. think we will stick to a good old fashioned guest book. Will be lovely getting it out in the years to come and reading everyone's lovely messages again :) I always think the drop box guest books are a bit limited x

Oh flossie any advice on making those invites would be greatly appreciated! I haven't a clue where to start lol. I saw a Dropbox on 3tsy but it was through a page on book face called Hug3 & H8art3 hope that makes sense! It was £75. If I did get that I think I'll have the little advice for the bride and groom pages with a little box to put them in. I need to make up my mind if I want the photobooth or not

Have you had a look on the bay for anything similar? Maybe you could use money you will be saving on invites for it that way it doesn't seem so expensive x

Danielle - I just made my first draft invitations using Word! I searched G00gle images to find a nice 'old fashioned' paper image and just used that as a background, then inserted a text box over the top. Also just searched G00gle for the other vintage kind of images and just copied and pasted them in! We're having 3 or 4 inserts, so just played about with the paper sizes so they all gradually decrease in size :) it's actually a lot simpler than it looks/sounds!! We're just putting them into a bundle and tying together with twine as well, so they will look a bit like little parcels :) then just need to buy envelopes xx

They will have an rsvp, menu insert and a gift poem, be fully personalised with my guest list and they have printed return rsvp envelopes. I have asked for a charcole ribbon and charcole coloured backing card and the silver glitter card will be the same. Also got a similar evening invite in mind and had a quote for that also, going to order matching table numbers, place cards and table planner too xx

That's beautiful Sarah. I have seen an invite I really like but at £1.50 for a flat postcard type invite I think that's quite expensive. No extras with it.

I think that sounds quite reasonable Danielle. But if it's just 1 insert that you're after it might be fairly simple to make yourself :)

Love all the different invite ideas. Just a thought for those doing DIY, you could go to somewhere like H0mebase and get samples of wallpaper you like and use that to decorate. Might be a bit difficult to glue with as it's quite thick but as you can get the samples for free it might be worth a go. x
