MDouglas, We have been looking at plain platinum bands. I'm not really fussed about diamonds or anything in them. I'm only a J size ring and OH tried to get my engagement ring on his little finger and it only went over the tip lol

Oh wow, H is tiny!!! OH can't remember what size my engagement ring is but it just fit when I got it.. it's a bit on the tight side now. When a say 'a bit' I can't get it off my finger unless I hold it under a tap hahaha. My wedding ring is an O and fits perfectly. Think I'll get my engagement ring resized and recoated before the wedding x

I clean mine quite often and always give it a bit of a wash whenever I wash my hands! I never take it off for anything so it accumulates quite a bit of grub I think lol. I'm surprised I haven't had it recoated yet though.. been wearing it 3 years now and the metal still looks quite good next to the new white gold of my wedding band! x

Yeah I like to keep on top of it as I never take mine off either! I have a yearly contract with the jewellers to check all stones still set and claws don't need reset an they also clean it and I am dreading having to drop it off to have it cleaned and checked as ill feel naked until they hand me it back lol xx

My oh brought my engagement ring in a size i, when I first got it was too big kept falling off was going to get it re-sized but then I fell pregnant with my children and I was always told some people's finger swell while pregnant so decided to wait and now I think my fingers have gained some flab as my ring fits so much better x

My MOH is my younger sis and shes just as keen as I am but she has been away on holiday in Florida and been finding it hard not talking to her as much lol! My other two bridesmaids are great to! My gran is really excited to so every time I visit she's asking how its going and paid for half my dress! This forum is great as we are all so similar with planning etc or many have been where we are now so its good to have a support network here to xx

Yeah I love this group it's a great support network :) just got off phone with mil again talking about bridesmaid dresses, as we're doing our day on a budget she and fil have offered to sort food for day and help with cost of my sil dress so we only have 2 adults and flower girl to get, I feel so honoured that she wants to help us :) xx

My OH family is good friends with the owner so that's why we chose to have it there and also there is a lake and woodland next to the marquee that will be great for photos :) can't wait x

MDouglas I'm the same, everyone says all I talk about is weddings and it's true but it's so exciting and I've waited so long for it to happen! I've had to be firm with myself though and stop telling everyone what I've bought as nothing will be a surprise! God help me when it's all over I'll have to move on to something else, possibly babies, which my mom and oh's mom would LOVE!
The months are flying by I feel abit lazy about the plans but don't want to do everything quick so I have things to do nearer the time..I'm so glad im not the only one with "wedding brain"... This site has been a god send xx

Snap we got engaged on our 1st anniversary and we're now getting married next year on our 10th so feels like I've waited forever to get to planning lol, the one thing I am really struggling with though is my dress I've been browsing websites etc looking for ideas and I normally always ask h2b opinion on things so I'm finding it really hard not to discuss the dress with him lol

Mine took a bit longer than the norm Sarah as the lace I chose was out of stock until this month but saying that, it was the 9th when they dispatched it! The site says it normally takes 3 weeks which is fine for us forward planners. ;) xx

Yes forward planning is the best though lol! Im going to take the samples of the lace to the shop where I got my dress and match it up, thinking of going for the ivory shimmer! its lovely
I am trying not to tell people what I have done/bought except the BM's MOH family etc lol and how hard is it to not talk about your H2B about your dress when your so excited about it and wanna burst with excitement because your so in love lol
Gemma I was the same I tried on 12 dresses in total and I tried big and poufy, a-line, lace all over, straps, no straps, off the shoulder straps lol and I found what I loved in the first shop Fishtail and fell in love I new for me it was fitted and strapless and lace up back! that's what I have now bought and I LOVE it lol xx
