Hi Im thinking of booking it for 5th of March 2016.

I'm 6th august x

I'm 14th May!

So far we have done:

Venue booked
Registrar booked & deposit paid
DJ booked & deposit paid
Photographer booked & deposit paid
Flowers ordered & deposit paid
Make up booked
3 bridesmaid dresses bought and paid for
Flower girl dress bought
My shoes bought & paid for
Cake ordered, no deposit needed
Bits and pieces like jars for sweet table, card for DIY invitations, favour bags bought

The only big thing to book I have left is cars, I have found a few I like but need to sit down with OH so we can decide together.

I plan to start getting fish bowls and flowers for centre pieces over the next few months then start dress shopping in May. I don't really need to book much more at the moment so I am concentrating on saving for a few months now :)

So far we have done

Booked reception
My dress- paid in full
Bridesmaid dresses bought
Cake being done by family friend as wedding gift
Photographer booked-family friend. Sort price next year
Think we've borrowing family friends car but going to view another march 1st
Centre pieces and reception decs bought.

Next on the list is to sort flowers

Hey all we are planning to get married 8th October 2016. Not sure why we picked this date but it appealed to us both :)

So far we have done nothing but have a look at a few venues.
We are not booking anything till my partner finishes his gas course which I am hoping is July.

This should be plenty of time for venue etc?

I am starting to worry now seeing how much some of you have done.

In the summer I will make the invitations, hairdresser will be booked and gifts for BM will be booked. As soon as best man chosen I will work on hiring a super car for h2b to drive to venue with best man but need his help to get the right car

Ooh Emmilou82, thats exciting! I went to a charity sale yesterday and bought 3 veils as we couldnt decide which would be best. FMIL is amazing at sewing and is going to use the best one to make my veil. She makes lace so is hand making my garter!

And have a potential candidate for bm dresses which so far all the girls like so I'm going to buy one and we can all do a try on in a few wks.

im 18th June just like Flossie although maybe legally getting married in a few weeks (theres another post about it) you guys have so much more done than me though we've just booked:

bought centre pieces and save the dates (but they still need posting) and lots of wine



and thats it but we're waiting on getting a large sum of money this summer which is paying for our wedding so when that comes it will be full steam ahead :) xxx

Haha she is definitely a useful bridesmaid!! Maybe you could ask him about the sign in a few months time so you don't feel bad asking for everything all at once lol! x

Tree trunk ideas sound good flossie have u changed your mind on the naked cake?

Kind of Danielle. I still want a naked cake but I'm thinking a smaller one, then make the rest of the numbers or 'servings' up with naked style cupcakes. I would have the main cake on a tree slice base but also have the cup cakes on the tree slice bases as well around the cake :) kind of like this picture but all on one level...

Good idea Flossie I love the naked cake idea! I was at a wedding show yesterday and got to try some lovely cake samples and see some beautiful cakes and some naked cakes they really do look the part x

Dress - free (prize) and Mam paid for alterations :)
flowergirl dress - paid for.

We started the STDs yesterday as we're sending them out because it is bank holiday weekend and people might book holidays. :)

we should find out this week where he is going to be posted so will make our decision then but its looking like northern ireland which is a bit of a commute from yorkshire lol either way i'll still be having our big day on 18th June 2016 (I know i'd regret it if i cancelled) xx
