I've got an old pearl necklace which was given to me by an old lady my mum used to look after. She told me to keep it for my wedding day. My new will be my dress, etc. And my something blue will be a blue garter my bridesmaid is buying me. But really struggling on something borrowed. X

That's a shame Danielle. Is there anyone that you can put on the day rather than the evening to bump your numbers up?

We haven't invited anyone to the evening. We got more no's today. We def aren't going to have the 150. I'm so annoyed. It's a lot of OH cousins that aren't going

Danielle, is that because everyone is just due to go to the whole day? Would the cousins who aren't coming be able to make it just an evening do if it would work that they just turn up later? At least that way not all of your money would be wasted.

My hair is scraggly due to the rain lol.... Luckily in the lamb shed it was dry hence we got some good shots

No not scraggly - the first one you've a bit that's been blown over your face but looks like it was just natural as you were outside. Anyway that can be photoshopped. Think you both look good :)

I think most people are the same Emm. Especially women cos we have to look at our faces everyday to do make up etc we know every single imperfection which nobody else really sees.

Keep your chin up and like you say, you invited who you wanted and yes, OK, you are paying for empty spaces but you are marrying the one you love, that's the main thing xxx

Got my florist appointment on Saturday to see the chosen flowers and she's doing a small mock up of my bouquet. Quite looking forward to that.

May 14th I'm having another makeup trial but using 'normal foundation.... I'm just too unsure on the airbrush to not have another trial!

I'm seriously contemplating now doing my own makeup and just have her there to do my hair. I've paid up already but she can still do the others. I just can't seem to settle in this.

Over the weekend I received a save the date for my cousin's wedding. It's the weekend after mine. We also have OH's cousin's wedding the weekend after that. 3 family weddings in 3 weeks!

So had a fab hen weekend this weekend - really touched by how special the girls wanted to make it for me!

On the Saturday we were all supposed to be travelling together in the one car, but they said they didn't think all our stuff would fit into one car so 2 of them went in a separate car. The bm who drove me down had decorated her car for me - she'd printed out loads of hens and stuck them all over her car with "hen in progress" signs, fluffy pink feather boas and feathers and rose petals all over the passenger's seat!!!!

The whole way there the other 2 kept texting to say they were stuck in traffic etc and so wouldn't get there til a while after us. Turns out they'd actually been there for hours - they were there before we'd even left - and they'd decorated the house for me as a surprise and let off party poppers when I walked through the door. As I walked in there was rose petals everywhere and a sign saying "Lauren's hen weekend" and "congratulations" etc. They'd got glasses of champagne with strawberries ready and had laid out gift bags on the table ready for us to open. They'd already been and bought food and drink for the weekend too so the cupboards were already well stocked - they made us willy pasta and meatballs for dinner!!

On Saturday night I was told my carriage would arrive at 7.30... it was a pink taxi and we went to a bar/club called C@m30. They'd arranged for us to do a cocktail masterclass there which was fab and then when the bar opened up into a club later on, they'd arranged a VIP section for us with hen balloons/decorations etc. Was a fab night! Also pleased to report no strippers/inflatable willies/L plates in sight - just bridesmaid and bride to be sashes thank goodness!!! Although it was very funny when we were waiting to get into the bar, one of the doormen obviously saw we were a hen party and said "are you here for the strippers?", although he was completely joking - apparently my face was a picture!!!!! There was actually a strip club downstairs!!!

Sunday we had a leisurely morning, they made breakfast for me etc then we had a day out at M0nk3y W0rld and they had paid for us to have a guided tour which was really lovely. The staff at M0nk3y W0rld had even arranged a little gift pack for me and gave me a card saying "happy hen" - was a lovely touch! Sunday night we had a girly night in and snuggled up on the sofa/sofa bed together under loads of duvets, watched Magic Mike and 50 Shades, ordered chinese, had loads of nibbles and more cocktails and played a couple of games. They'd made personalised games for me such as "stick the moustache on the Pringle's man" rather than pin the tail on the donkey (as my married name will be Pringle) and 1 of the girls had done a Mr & Mrs quiz for us which she'd already asked James to give the answers for - it was surprisingly hard even for me!!!!

Yesterday we drove down to Bournemouth seafront, had a play about in the arcade and a stroll along the beach and had some dinner at the H@rv3st3r, then we set off home.

Was such a fab weekend and was lovely spending some quality time with them. Really touched by how much effort they put into it xx

Danielle glad you had a good work hen, try not to worry too much about the no's, a friend of mine had similar trouble at her wedding where she had to pay for max numbers even though she didn't have that number and they arranged for all the extra alcohol to go out for the rest of the guests, they also had canapés in place of all the main meals they weren't using, so maybe you could come to some arrangement with the venue. xx

I am going to have one, I am not sure of the days with it being so near christmas but for my best friends wedding (which is the same day as yours lol) I am having it done on the thursday for the wedding on the saturday xx

I know what you mean Emma. I'm getting fed up with it too. Every time someone says "how are the wedding plans going"? I want to scream. Looking forward to it being over and going on our honeymoon.

They did take good care of me and made sure I had a fab weekend - I am very lucky :) sad that it's all over now but I've still got my second hen in Swindon on the 14th, then it will be countdown time!!!

I'm not feeling stressed or fed up but I know where you're coming from. The wedding has engulfed our lives for 2 years now - it will be a relief in a way to not have to worry or think about it anymore when it's all over and done with. At the same time it will be really sad though - will have to find something else to look forward to!!!
