Seems very strange! I told them I couldn't come in during the week and asked them to let me know on which Saturdays a jeweller will be available, but they just ignored that part of my email!!! I've phoned another independent jewellers and he said I can take my rings in tomorrow :) have had a couple of recommendations for them too. Will take about a week, but that's what I was expecting anyway so no biggie. I will have to find a ring to wear on my ring finger in the meantime otherwise will feel so naked!!!

Emmi - I am taking mind to J011y'5 in Mansfield. They have told me they will need it for about 3 hours to be dipped and cleaned. Just told me to give them a call the week before I am wanting to take it to check the jeweller is around. I plan to take it the week before the wedding x

Ok so I'm getting married in 2 weeks and I've so much to do but I've no motivation to do it!! I need to find a printer to print the marriage booklets and make the bows for the chapel. Still got to order the wine and book in for my tan and nails!!!! I don't no why I'm being so easy going lol. Also can't get my head around the table plan!

That's awful Emm, surely every bride's worst nightmare!!! I know 3 months is not long but at least she does have 3 months and it's not just a matter of weeks or something.. fingers crossed she can find somewhere else.

I know.... She was really calm about it. worse of all, she wasnt paying for the barn, they were not charging her so now she has to find the money too!

Well I have taken the plunge and ordered both dresses. 7 & 8 yrs.....

Worse case scenario and they don't fit, I'll send them back!

That still leave about 7 weeks to get one which I will do.

We are. Our 5 yr old is our page boy and he will be carrying a ring pillow with our rings on. They will be tied on with ribbon. When he walks down the isle the best man will take the pillow from him and take the rings off to look after x

Florist appointment was a bit pointless really.... We didn't do a mock up after all she just showed me the flowers that we were having and bunched them together....

They did look beautiful though..... Only in there literally 10 minutes.

Oh well, it's done.

She's delivering them to the venue at 11am on the day so other than to pay them off, I won't hear from them again..... Eeeeek!

So I went to my friend's wedding reception last night and had a lovely evening. She looked really fantastic - her dress was kind of along the same lines as I had expected. It was a blush pink, strapless and with ruffles of layered net. I couldn't have pulled that dress off, but she's about 5ft9 and it looked simply amazing.

It was hard not to compare and I have to say she had everything I wanted!! A sweetie table. Curtain swagging. A live singer. There was even a free bar. From the day there were personalised boxes of confetti etc. Her favours were jam jars filled with jam, which is a tip to where her OH is from - Tiptree in Essex. Food was great - buffet along with cones of fish and chips and me and OH spent of the night on the dancefloor The only bad thing I can say is the night finished at 11pm when we and everybody else was getting into the dancing!

Also, my sil is coming round with her friend in a couple of weeks. I'm getting all the bm's together and we're having a hair trial! I know it's a while off but any excuse for a girls night and wine :)

Know what you mean Flossie, that's how I felt last week. Don't know if you can but I literally got everything out and did as much as I could, including filling favour boxes and getting them boxed and ready and getting all the gifts wrapped, bagged and boxed. Felt so much better afterwards x

Well good news, I got my money back from the first alteration lady, after her shouting at my new seamstress and putting the phone down on her! And my new seamstress finished my dress last night and is dropping it off tomorrow! SO relieved!

Everything is pretty much done now, had my hair cut and coloured on Friday, made up the BM's gift bags last night, put all of the centrepieces and room decorations into a box to be dropped off at the venue. All that is left now is the things we are doing on Friday, nails, picking up the cake and dropping everything off at the venue! Can't believe it's this week!

Glad you got your money back Em, it should have never happened in the first place but at least that's something. Hope you enjoy your week and all the build up - I can imagine it feels very surreal!!! x

Paid off the camper today for OH. I wish I could see his face when it arrives on the day to collect them - he thinks he's driving himself!! Next on the to do list is OH's brother and dad coming round tomorrow evening to try their suits on in full then take them away, going round my dad's Wednesday evening so he can try his on and keep it (though he may need some alterations - weight is just falling off him!!), and on Saturday it's my 2nd hen do. Next Thurs is my final dress fitting and all being well I get to take it home, the Friday after that the girls' second dress fittings... everything's happening very quickly now. It's started to hit home just how close it is!!! I'm not stressing about material things, just the thought that our wedding is actually happening and it's happening in just over 5 weeks!!!
