I like lace but I've not been paying too much attention to pics as I know once I try dresses on I will think completely differently. I know the designers I want to try on, but I'm open to others as well.. It will be a surprise :) x

Part of me loves figure hugging more 'under stated' dresses but I've no idea how they will actually look on my body. Part of me also loves big princessy dresses! x

I'm sure once you get in there you'll know! At least you'll be able to try on each different style and see how they look on you. I always thought I'd want strapless and when I tried a strapless dress on it looked awful haha x

I definitely wouldn't be able to have strapless, I need to keep my boobies in check! Haha. I love lace dresses where the lace goes above the neck line (like yours Emma) - would feel more secure then too hah xx

Me and OH were talking about my dress the other day and whilst he said he doesn't want to see it he said I think I know what it's like, so I said what. He said a strapless princess type dress with a few sparkles on the top!! He couldn't be more wrong hahaha! x

Sending save the dates out in a few weeks. We were only going to send them to the day guests but now considering sending them to the evening guests too. What are your thoughts on this? x

I think if you have particular evening guests who you really really want to be there then there's no harm. I've seen people sending 'save the evening' rather than 'save the dates' so there is no confusion about which part of the day they are invited to xx

20% I think Flossie but mum paid more. Some places want 50%, it all depends.
I've seen save the evening cards but I ordered more than I needed of the save the dates so would be a shame to not use them. I don't want there to be any confusion though xx

I definitely wouldn't send save the dates to evening guests as they might just assume they are invited to the whole day - I know I probably would if I received one. Is there an option to make little inserts from wherever you got your save the dates from so you can pop them in and explain it's for the evening?
Otherwise I'd probably just wait until sending the invitations out. If there are certain people who you really want there I'd just let them know. Maybe you could send evening invites out a little earlier instead x

I have my whole outfit sorted now. Dress, Veil, headpiece, and shoes. My mum is paying for all of it and any alterations. Haven't tried it all on together yet so as soon as my dress comes in I will be trying it all on (as long as the veil and headpiece have arrived too) I can't wait. I did try the sample veil on with my dress and it looks lovely. I also have my garter and have ordered stokings but not sure if I will get on with them or not xx

Welcome ladyj
Save the dates isn't really a done thing here but if I were sending them to evening guests I'd prob send save the evening not date
Exciting flossie! I got a great deal on my dress at the time so paid if in full. Just have alterations to pay. I no my friend had to pay 50% on hers. My friend offered me a lend of her veil as my something borrowed! Just need to check the colour matches my dress hope it does. I was looking at some lovely headpieces at the weekend. Was going to go back this week and buy one but my little boy has been I'll. I'm considering asking my sisters to buy me my shoes for my birthday present as they are more expensive than I was Intending on spending!

I also seen some lovely belts that I want to add to my dress they were the ribbon style ones but thinking I may be better buying some material and asked the dress maker to stick it on to my dress! Not sure which would be better

2016 here too! :) Butterley Grange Mansion on the 24th of July. (A Sunday because getting married on a Saturday is bad luck lololol superstitious me.)
I got my dress ordered the other week. :D It WAS going to be a custom made one since I am a professional designer s, but I tried on one by chance in a shop in my town.
I paid £300 deposit for a £700-something dress and they'll store it for free.

We have both save the date and save the evening so guests don't get confused we had ours made was £24.50 for 70 which I didn't think was too bad! We gave started to take them out as ours is bank holiday and school holidays so want to make sure everyone can come x
CommentAuthorMelty Cat
I'm currently trying to figure out how best to do my invitations. It's all at one venue and all the invitations I like seem to be day and evening separate. Argh.
I may just go down my initial route of designing them myself and having them printed at this rate lol.
CommentAuthorKatieH
I may get some save the evening cards but not sure yet. Thing is our evening guest list could change a couple of times between now and when we send out invites x
