Yeah... It was a lot of weight and really felt my head was unbalanced..... I tried one in August when I took my dress to the shop and it felt amazing and light but since then my friend has donated hers

There's some from China and some the UK Leanne .. Mum was like nah I wouldn't risk it and I said yeah but they're loads more expensive and she was like you don't need to worry about that

Have you got anything you could borrow from your mum or another family member?
My aunt randomly text me the other day to say don't worry about my something old and borrowed as my granny who's past away give her something on her wedding day and she is going to lend it to me to pin into the inside of my dress. She hasn't told me what it is yet though lol, she said it's a secret, only my cousin who got married in August knows about it. I am intrigued. x
It can be anything Becci though, borrow a parents bracelet or earnings perhaps....
Yes Leanne, it's a 12.... I was a 10 when I bought it and now I've put a stone on, I can get in it and fasten it but I need to lose some weight before the wedding.... I'm not bothering til after Xmas. No point really. My first fitting is May 7th and it will need taking up but other than that hopefully nothing else.
I didn't want to pay a lot for a dress but I still wanted it to look beautiful and I feel it in my dress xx

Mine was a sample sale too but was on the standard rack so I had no idea until I tried it on and they said well there's 25% off that dress and I said oh right I'll even get in an 8 then and they said oh no it'll be that exact dress I was like oh!

My dress was a bargain at £350 from a wedding outlet shop. Thought it was going to be quite dear but when I asked how much I couldn't believe it and if I paid in full that day I got a free tiara and veil saving me £200!!

A wedding I went to at the beginning of October, the bride had the dress I wanted initially. Branded Stella York, costs about £1600 and when she was telling me about it I was quite jealous but since having mine, it's not to dissimilar and a grand less
She looked beautiful though xx

I had to listen more to my bm's and mum because I loved so many .. Kinda in two minds because I love the dress but the other very close contender was a dress mum saw in a shop when my sister was looking for prom dresses and mum saw it and loved it and thought about me before we were even engaged so that's the first shop we went looking in after gettjng engaged .. She looked on the racks for the dress but couldn't find it then the first dress I pulled out so was like omg that's the one!! I tried it on and it was stunning.. We'd all chosen it and mum said lets face it you're not going to get anythjng nicer .. Then I saw a lace number on here and thought maybe I should try that because I'd not tried anything similar but the dress was twice the amount of my favourite and an hours drive away but then when I went along to sisters final prom fitting my lace number stood out on the rails and mum was like you have to try it on

The dress on the right is my original choice .. I still love it for the sparkle and the amazing train but the dress I have is more elegant and although I love this sexy little number the one o have is more a wedding dress :)

Plus if I bought that one my ghetto bootay would not have fit in the 8 which I needed for my top and my bum fit in the 12 that I tried on in the shop so they said I'd have had to have either had all the beading removed to have the bodice altered two sizes or had it custom made at a price

I've ordered a veil off the bay. It was dirt cheap so not worry at all if it looks horrid. Actually ordered 2 so my 2 girls could use them for dress up if they're rubbish! Hahaha.
So... am going to cancel my hair and make up trial next week. Had my hair cut off a few weeks ago and for the styles I want I need it to be longer. Will rearrange it for early next year.
Also... just got a huge bargain on a venue dresser! A package which normally costs £1100 for £595. It includes chair covers which we don't want but she said she can substitute it for something. It also includes a chocolate fountain, table runners and centre pieces, starlight backdrop and skirt for top table, ceiling lights, paper pom poms, favours and table runners. Am meeting her next Saturday to discuss properly.
Got my colour scheme now!

Yeah that's the colour it's very hard to match .. It's not red because it's more pink / orange so I dunno lol it's like a really dark coral it's very pretty the photos don't do it justice

Evening Ladies looks like you've all been very busy with wedding preparations. I can't possibly comment on what everyone's been up to but dresses, tiaras and veils seem to be the topic of the evening. Ukbride could really do with a quote button like MSE forum so I can comment on all the posts and a "like" button like FB for all the lovely dresses. We've finally ordered our UK weeding invites and I'm hoping to start again with my wedding dress shopping. I can't believe how fast time is going. We'll all be married before you know it. X

I found the bm dresses equally as hard if not harder than mine because I wanted them all to look and feel amazing in them but this one with the rouching on the bodice makes them all look fab and it has a bit of beading to match my dress which I liked :)

The silver embellishment on our BM dress' matches my dress too
Just need to get the girls measured and hope that these dresses are still in range in Feb.
My junior BM (12yrs) lives in Stockton so difficult to get her measured with my sister (MOH)
