I am a little stressed about it atm, I might feel better when its booked. I actually wanted to go to Marbella Flossie but decided against it due to cost, however from the little bits of info I am hearing staying here isn't much cheaper. I nearly said last week just tell me whats going on but I am trying to be good lol. Danielle you are so laid back, I love it xx

I wanted to go to Portugal but decided against it too due to cost. Lol Leanne I am pretty laid back about the wedding which actually isn't like me I'm such a worrier lol only thing I'm worrying about the wedding is paying for it!!
My friend has just booked her hen to portugal and the flights alone cost us £190! I am worried about that too Danielle, the budget just seems to be growing and growing! x

I know you can get good deals to Portugal Etc but I suppose it's then the spending money and people taking time off work. I'm seriously getting scared about paying for everything now but if we have to take a small loan so be it, it's not the end of the world I suppose. If we want to go on honeymoon we will def need a loan

Signed the catering contract today and mailed it back but they need both signatures so I'll have to get OH to sign it Friday and scan it again and send it next Monday..... Seriously this has been a complete ball ache from the minute we started!!

Just told my MOH I would rather have a UK hen weekend. Suggested a spa, cottage or London. She then said she has a plan but I'm not allowed to know anymore! Feel better now. Going abroad is great but I think it is a lot of pressure to ask people to pay that sort of money. Especially if some don't have passports or what not. Will also be having a local piss up for those who can't make the weekend.

I am having my hen weekend in Edinburgh. I teach so had to pick the dates when I am off during the holidays. Left the rest up to my bridesmaids.....eek! My friend gets married a month before me and she has chosen Marbs for her hen weekend I knew I couldn't commit to that far to expensive. She is having another one at home in Newcastle. xx

Tattoos look great LadyC. You are much braver than me. Good luck finding a veil Lindsey. Try lots of different styles as its a bit like trying different dresses. Emmilou what an absolute pain your caterers have been. I really hope they get things sorted. Love the glasses. I have done a necklace and earring set for my girls. I have also had a lot of input in my hen do. We are going on a spa break but have loads inckuding in the price so it looks expensive to start but is actually an awesome deal. X

Had a really great day today. We had the day off work to go for our engagement photoshoot at our venue and our photographer was brilliant. He made us feel so relaxed as I was a bit nervous to start with and it just felt totally natural with a few tweaks to get the best angles. He said we were so easy to photograph so shouldn't worry at all for the wedding day. We had a lot of fun so can't wait to see the pictures.
Then we went to town to look for rings just to see what we liked and came out of H5@muels with both rings picked and paid for by OH. We got such a bargain on my ring which we were so pleased about as we were getting to the point we thought we wouldn't find one to fit next to my engagement one as its got such a twist on it. And OH is pleased with his in white gold with alternate stripes on it. Sounds weird but looks nice. So a really good day in all x

Love it Lindsey! My dad thinks we should put on a bus for our guests but we would prob need to put on 2 and it's an expense we don't need. OH family have about an hour to travel whereas my family only have 10 mins so I def wouldn't be putting one on for them! I'd say a lot of OH ones will stay over and the others will maybe organise a mini bus between them

Yeah we thought about hiring a big red bus but when we looked at costs we just thought it's expense we can't afford so everyone will have to make their own way to the reception. It's only a 10-15 minute drive from the church

I must admit, OH keeps mentioning buses to get people back from the reception but I'm hesitant.... The 3 I've been to this year, we sorted our own transport/accommodation without a second thought xx they buses are lovely though ladies xx

So my MOH had a melt down about my hen party yday, bless her she lives in NZ and she's trying really hard to organise things but woth the time difference etc shes encounter some problems so I've stepped in to give her a hand. Having a surprise isn't everything and I feel less stressed that I know things are being organised. Who knew weddings would cause so much stress lol.
Still waiting on our new save the dates coming, hoping they will be ok this time xx

That's a lovely bus Lindsay :) similar to the one we've organised as a surprise to take our guests around the harbour in Pathos after we've married. I've not organised my hen and neither has my MOH there's time yet but she's really off the ball. We're at a bit of a stalemate over dresses at the moment. Yes Leanne weddings are so stressful ... Glad I'm only doing it once!

Evening all .. Just had a quick skim ..
We booked our double decker vintage bus as one of our first buys for guests from our home town to church and then to the venue .. It's just a charity bus preservation society too so got it for £380!!
I'm having two hens .. A big surprise hen in a cottage type place with hot tubs and then just the bridal party abroad a few weeks before the wedding so we have nice natural tans
Had a bit of a set two with sister and mum today over the wedding
had to tell mum and jade to back off with everything wedding related. They're pissing me off trying to dictate everything.
On the plane somehow the top table came into conversation and Jade was like oh I'll be on the top table and I said not necessarily because of Aimie doesn't have a boyfriend or a plus one Aimie will be on the top table and it's not fair leaving Danny (sisters bf) on his own then they both piped up to say she won't be with him then then mum was like oh you'll have to put her on the top table look how upset she's getting!
Then just had the dog argument again and I said noway are they not being there at all because we both want them there and it's our wedding and it's our day not what them two want etc then they tried saying that we could do what we wanted with ozzy but diesel wouldn't be there so I said we both wanted them there and we were going to look after them they didn't need to etc and they got really arsey so I just said you know what it's mine and Simons wedding and if we want them there they will be!
All holiday so far they've been dictating the wedding to me it was gettjng too much then when they were saying the dogs aren't even allowed in one of the rooms in the venue for me and Simon to pop in I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. Hope the short sharp snap at them will stop all this rubbish

I'm hoping so mmw2b it's so annoying I don't get why my 16 yo sister feels like she can dictate about our wedding but her and mum are constantly sticking up for each other .. Mums realised how upset I am about it now so hoping she's going to stop with the wedding dictatorship now then I'll just have the whole arthritis argument to deal with the pair of them on since jade has had arthritis in her knee since she was 3 and had steroid injections that have stopped a lot of the pain she's been able to keep active and mum and her keep saying the more she does the better she is so they keep pressurising me to run .. I have my injection the day I get home (next Tuesday) and I said I'm doing nothing until my consultant says I can because with it being my lower back I can't physically walk and he said the wear is already pretty significant so I don't want tk damage myself more and all they keep saying is fine well if you want to listen to your consultant you'll be in a wheelchair and unable to do anything you want for the rest of your life.. Why can't they just listen to the medical professionals for once! You only get one back .. You can have a knee replacement but you can't replace your back!! Argh.
There was me thinking I'd have a nice peaceful holiday.
I'm also gettin linched by these two about babies!! I thought oh was broody but dear God!

Oh my gosh OH just said the cutest thing to me, completely out the blue. We bought our wedding rings the yesterday and can pick them up in a few weeks but he just said "oohhhhhh I really want to wear mine now! I don't want to wait." I told him he can try it on when it comes to check the size but can't wear it properly. It was very sweet.
Becci that sucks that your family is being so rubbish. I remember reading about the dogs being there in a room in another post. I think I agree it might actually have been a good thing that you snapped and got upset about it as they will hopefully see how awful they are being. And as you say it is yours and your OHs day so they can like it or lump it. X

I totally understand what you're saying Becci.
It's hard when it comes to families. They always thing they know best but they don't. You know what is right for yourself and I appreciate your sister has had a hard time but like you say a knee can be replaced unlike your back.
I hope you can enjoy the rest of your holiday and not let them spoil it for you. Where is it you've gone?

There's been loads of low flying helicopters in convoy since we came too apparently a helicopter went down in the sea a few days ago and three crew are missing so they're constantly out searching bless them
