Emmilou if you look at the ring that is around the 31, it is an engagement ring so going to put the diamond on top of the printed diamond, its really small so should be fine. We are just adding them ourselves so if it doesn't look right we can just leave it off. When they are printed I will post a pic for you all to see, you can tell me what you think.
Was just about to put a deposit down on some light up letters and mentioned it to my dad, he owns a sign company and he actually made the letters for the company I was hiring from so he's going to make us some, saves another little bit from the budget :)

Off to some flower appointments on Saturday.. The first weddingy thing in a while then suits the following Saturday then the Saturday after that I've arranged a night out for my bms with the netball ladies so they can get to know people and will order the bm dresses yhe Monday after.
Really need to sort invites but I don't know what to get and whether to attempt making them or not as the materials are hard to find and they're not that expensive to buy .. Oh is not helping with a decision either as usual

Ours are about the same Leanne but then when you think about numbers based on 60 day gueats and that most are couples or families of 4 I estimate only needing about 25 invites so that's about £100 then the evening ones tend to be cheaper :)

That works out well for you.What type you having? We worked it out that we need to send 70 save the dates so I expect it will be 70 day invites, which works out quite alot. Then there is all the other stationary on top. xx

That is quite expensive Leanne. We need at least 100 invites so def couldn't afford that. Your lucky your OH would help out with making them, mines would be useless and prob not interested!!

bridesmaid dress
Hi ladies - been busy the last few days sorting out bits and pieces, but mainly relaxing and switching off as I am on holiday this week :-)
Sorted out my bridesmaid dress on Tuesday - only having 1 bridesmaid (my sister) so was nice and easy! We found a local bridal outlet shop that had 15% off everything, so managed to save some money on her dress. She fell in love with the second one she tried on - I personally prefered the 1st one on her, but she looked so uncomfortable in it, that I decided to let her go with the dress she felt more comfortable in. So, we've ordered this for her in a dusky pink, which is our colour scheme, so happy with that.
This afternoon I've got an appointment with a local wedding supplier, who has offered to do my centre pieces for £90, which includes fake flowers, bird cages and mirrors - we reckon we'll have about 8 tables altogether.
Phew - now to start making a mock of up our wedding invites - not artistic at all, so they will look made, but it's saving us a small fortune!!!

OH is quite arty thats why we are having a caricaturist at the drinks reception, so he will enjoy doing the first 15 and then be bored and stressed after that lol. I have found a girl on the book of face who seems quite reasonable, going in for a consultation on Sat, hopefully her quote is better than the last 2.

Are you making the bus tickets? Or have you found somewhere that does them? We wanted to include them with our invite for those on the bus from venue to church and back again. It's mainly going to be OH's family & friends as they are not local to the area.

Just caught up with the thread - love your save the dates Leanne. Really lovely and personal.
Well, you're asking the person who got kicked out of GCSE art & design! But ... have some laser cut card and was just going to keep the simple with dusky pink ribbon towards the top with an ivory heart embellishment with calligraphy font. That's about as artistic as I can think! Stumbling block at the moment is the menu - we can't do our tasting until January and we wanted to send out invites then to avoid the Christmas post. Can't work out how to do RSVP with menu choices at the moment!

Number 13 means nothing to me after how unlucky I've been since my crash lol anythjng that can go wrong has been.
Even things as silly as two parcels I ordered were lost in the post in the space of a week of each other and nothing of mine has ever been lost in the post before! One of them was a present for my mums birthday that was on Tuesday and on Thursday last week I emailed them querying why it was three days late and they said that it should have been there long ago so they'd send a replacement which only arrived today. It was worth the wait as it looks lovely and she's wanted a new house number sign for ages but it's a good job it wasn't the only pressy I got her else she'd be dissappointed !

I'm not superstitious or anything like that....
The only couple of things I won't do is, cross another person on the stairs and I'm very very cautious about getting in red cars!!! I had a bad dream years ago that I got killed in a red car and I've been scared every since! It's one if the first questions I asked OH the morning after we met.... What colour is your car?? Lol.... He thought I was crackers lol

Aww I'm loving hearing all your plans for hen party's, i would love a wee night away in Dublin for my hen (I'm from Belfast) so not too far away from where we live, my sis approached me about organising a hen but I'm not sure she would be able to cope with the arranging and getting money off people etc. Is anyone doing a theme? Paid the deposit for our flowers today and ordered our cake decorations from the bay as the person I was going to buy them from on 3tsy has gone on a break and it doesn't say when she will be back.
OH picked up his ring the other day too and it looks really good. He is very happy with it which is the most important thing. X

It's called Goldfinger in ilkeston Emma. It's mil friend who owns it so thought we'd try there. We told him what we wanted then he pointed us in the right direction of what we should/could have
Kirsty- we've both gone for plain d shaped yellow gold bands. Mine Is 18ct as that's what my engagement ring is and OH is 9ct as he won't be wearing his a lot as he can't wear rings for work. They should be in the shop within 2 weeks
