Champagne gold and sparkly with it being new years eve. We were really made up with the company today, she was so friendly and accommodating, Its what you want isn't it.

Is purple your fav colour? Green is mine I very nearly went with it, I found it really difficult to pick. x

    Yes it is lol.....

My dress has a silver embellishment on it hence the additional colour but it works well

OH looks stunning in baby blue but i found that hard to match and to be honest, with the silver sparkle, it made it a little cold and frosty for July so i went with my favourite instead lol

We're off to the shops Sunday to get my 3 child bridesmaids/flower girl dresses (hopefully!). My adult bridesmaids are gonna try and get their shoes and im hoping to get my wedding shoes as well.

Then the following week we're off to my cousins to get our invites made, she makes them as a side business and is doing them as a weding present to us which will be great, we're hoping to then send them out in january after christmas, can't wait for the rsvps to start coming back through the post.

We've finally finalised the guest list, got 70 on the day and 141 on the night, its more than I thought there would be but I'm guessing they won't all come! Xx

Baby blue and purple go really nice together, maybe you could add a bit of it on him lol.

When are you sending out your invites? They suggested sending them out in April in the shop but I was thinking like July lol.

What is your colour scheme Natalie, its handy your cousin is doing that for you. xx

We've not got much to do at the moment, although it will be time to send out invitations before we know it so need to get cracking with finalising our design and making them.

A few people, but the majority live where we do so will have a 30 min or so journey to the venue. My uncle, auntie and cousin are coming down from Nottingham and OH has some cousins and a nan in Surrey who will be coming too.

We have about 2 months until we send invitations out, but as we're making them ourselves we really should get cracking soon. Will be making other stationery bits ourselves too like the table plan, table numbers, signs to go around the venue... will all follow the same sort of design.

I would have said 8 months was a little too far in advance... I'd go around the 5/6 month mark.

Edit - although having a NYE wedding I suppose you need to get them out as soon as poss so people don't make plans! Have you sent save the dates?

Hi Ladies. Looks like all your plans are coming along nicely. We haven't had much to do lately but I've finally bit the bullet and ordered the invites. It's something I've been putting off as it just seems so confusing and I kind of babbled on a bit in my email to the lady making them and ended up confusing myself so god knows how's she's feeling! LOL.

I'm sure there is nothing to worry about as she is the expert so I'm just looking forward to seeing the sample when it's done.

I went with my mum to look at mother of the bride outfits and saw a waist coat with pink swirls on in the matching pink to our colour scheme so I said to OH if he would want to wear that and the other groomsmen just have ivory. The place we are hiring the suits from had one but the pink was too pale so just to hire the waist coat from this other place is £35 which I think is fine. Taking him to see it soon so he can decide.

We are having an "order of the day" - will probably just get a chalkboard or a large sign or something and display it in the venue, rather than doing an individual one for everyone. I think it will just be nice for everyone to know what's happening and when. Might make our own and follow the same design as the invitations etc.... can print on A3 at work and then just display on a little easel.

Just ordered some frilly socks for the girls' gift bags in their respective pastel colours.. feel like I haven't purchased anything wedding related for ages! Decided I am going to order them a bottle of H@rv3y N1cs prosecco each too and then I think their gifts will be done. Will work out that I've spent £35 each on them - do you think that's enough?

That includes small y@nk33 candles, bath bombs, bath oils, nail varnishes, thank you plaques, frilly socks, wine glasses and the prosecco. I've also bought them earrings and bracelets to wear on the day which worked out at £12 per bridesmaid. So including that we would have spent £47 per bridesmaid which sounds a lot more reasonable.

I love the pastel colours, if we had of been having a summer wedding thats what we would have had. I tried to do it with winter colours but it didn't really work so thats why I changed. xx

Here are some pics of the bracelet I want to get for my FG. The first image is the original and I asked the lady if it would be possible to do it in lemon and change the charm to a flower girl one to which she said no probs, and she even strung some beads together for me so I could get an idea of what it would look like. I think it looks so gorgeous, but more than I was looking to spend at £35... but I think I may go for it. Comes with a lovely little gift box too and it is something she will be able to wear for a good few years with the adjustable fastening until she grows out of it.

Sarah I would just have both if he can't choose. My OH was best man for his best friend but he was left dangling about it for ages as the groom had previously been bast man for 2 others and felt really bad on the other 2. Its tricky.

Natalie, I am not asking for evening guests address's until the save the date has gone out.

Becky have you got a sample for us to see? I thought you were making your own, or am I getting confused lol.
