Would love a videographer but just can't afford it :( Going to ask certain people to video key moments for us like walking down the aisle, cutting the cake, first dance so least we will have a few mini ones :)x

I'm still not sure. OH isn't sure either... I don't know if we should pay that much money for something neither of us is sure about?! Like you Baker2Be I'd thought about asking people to film certain parts of the day like walking down the aisle, the speeches, the first dance... It's such a lot of money I just don't know if it's necessary. Particularly because we'd like to have a '2nd honeymoon' late 2016/early 2017 and that money would be a big help towards that.

Got a lot of thinking to do. I change my mind like the weather!!!!

I wouldn't pay that much unless we were 100% sure. I'm sure there's something else you want more or something else to spend the money on that would be more worthwhile. I think it would be nice to have a videographer but we won't be getting one unless we have spare money left over nearer the time xx

I'm in the same position as you Flossie. We went from definite no now I'm like .. Should we? But oh made a good point that we need to pay the church more to have the wedding filmed too so it isn't just the cost of the videographer

I think more than the dvds it's the short highlights videos that you can share on FB and stuff that really appeal to me... so is almost £700 worth it for a 3-4 minute video that effectively is just a reason to show off my wedding day? Hahaha. It was a definite no for me too initially Becci, grrrrrr xx

It's definitely a no just for a 3 minute video lol, you will have photos you can share on fb and you will be £700 better off, that £700 could be half of the cost of a second honeymoon! xx

It's an extra £50 for the highlights video with the one I've been looking at too. £649 for the 3 dvds, £699 including the video. This guy seems really good and he sent me a link to one he had done at our wedding venue, so it was really nice to see how it could look. But it's still a lot of money. *think think think*

It's difficult because that's just her feelings but still to have not got over it 2 years down the line seems a bit excessive and the fact that he didn't want to get married but did it for her AND spent an absolute whack on the ring goes to show how much he cares. I get the impression her relationship is a points scoring one with her friends and she just wants others to be jealous of her which I guess a lot of people are like that!

My oh was going to do a stereotypical Christmas / new year engagement but saw everyone posting their engagements on the book and thankfully decided against it but I wouldn't have thought any less of the proposal because of the time / place etc and without being nasty I can't see any £2500 ring being that awful!

I haven't either Lindsey but these ladies super organisation keeps making me think I need to kick start my thinking. Plus the fact that two weeks ago there was a year til our wedding now there's two weeks until there's only 11 months til the wedding and we still need to design and make all the invites, order of service, favours, decide how we're decorating the centrepieces, sort hair and makeup and flowers, suits etc

It's the stationery but that's got me on edge the suits are easy and the flowers should be easy enough, we've chosen the bridesmaid dresses just need to order them

My oh finally turned round me to last week and said "so I've decided.." So my ears straight away plucked up "I'm having Ben (his brother) as best man and I want dale and Jamie there" so I was like right ... Ok. So are you getting sale and Jamie suits then as that's another £240 and he was like .. No only as guests so I was a bit baffled as they were already on the guest list

We've not got much left to do tbh, I want most things done by christmas so in the new year we just have suppliers and honeymoon to worry about paying off, and hopefully everything should be relatively stress-free!!

I have designed our invitations but they will be amended slightly I'm sure, so need to sit down and finalise them and then actually print and make them and send them out. I want to also make signs to put around the venue such as one for the photo booth, one asking to sign our guest book, one asking guests to take pics etc. We need to do our table plan but we know what we are going to do, so it's just a case of buying the bits. Oh also need to make the table numbers but that's a 30 minute job.

We have a few gifts left to buy for parents, best man, bridesmaids & FG and a few bits for the groomsmens outfits such as ties, tie clips and belts.. they're buying their own shirts and shoes but OH is going to choose which ones he'd like. OH also needs shoes and a shirt and accessories. I need to get my accessories such as hair comb and jewellery.

We had a sit down the other night and spoke and vows/music choices etc. Nothing is cemented yet but we have an idea... just need to finalise all those bits.

Still need to get my FG's dress but waiting until nearer the time for obvious reasons... and alterations will need to be made to some of the BM dresses, but again waiting until nearer the time again for obvious reasons!

I think that's pretty much most of it!!!

Yeah I have it too Becci, not made my mind up yet though. You set a wedding ID and they just log into your ID and upload pics into it. Also like the idea of having a wedding hashtag so they can use FB and 1nst@ to upload their pics and we can get them from there... would be too much to have w3dp1cs and the hashtag going on though so we need to decide which to go with xx

I just need to finish getting the last few thank you gifts, room decorations, OH needs his suit, need favours and sweets for sweet table but won't be getting them until next year, getting BM's alterations done in around January and that's about it!

I have invites designed but need to print them out and send in Dec/Jan. Need to sort my hen too but just going for a meal/ spa day so that doesn't really need arranging! xx

The fact our weddings are practically the last ones in this thread Sarah is either going to motivate us to be super organised or depress us because we'll have everything done super early because we'll be so eager to get cracking with the rest of the ladies leaving us nothing to get excited over closer to the day lol

Maybe once we've designed the invites and started making them I'll feel a bit better!

Since mums still admant on going to the marathon on Sunday I might drag oh to a wedding fair at the local castle to see if there's any florists there to get rough Prices. I just want to plan :( lol
