Talking of invites the company I found were very good priced if anyone wants the link?

I no Leanne I think it's for the best of he has two, he's just unsure about asking his brother as his brother is how shall we put it tight! He's already moaned about where our wedding is and h2b is concerned that he will just moan, I told him to just go with his best friend then his brother can't moan lol xx

I wouldn't mind a wee nosey, we are still waiting on our quote from the one we seen yday, we loved her but thinking its going to be expensive lol. My OH brothers gf was very miffed and made sure we knew, that he wasn't best man, he is a groomsman but OH thought it should be his best friend. Would the brother moan if he wasn't it? xx

Could his brother be a kind of 2nd best man? OH's main best man is his brother, and he then asked his dad to be a '2nd best man' more as an afterthought as he wanted him to have a bigger role to play in the day. But OH's brother will be the one making a speech, not his dad.

The samples are at my mums or mil's and are very rough so nothing to see really if I'm totally honest.

We haven't made a decision on whether we are making or buying depends on cost and how professional we can make homemade ones look

When I discussed it with her she said no rush and to just wait till next year to finalise all details and also have the guest list sorted I'm thinking I'll contact her in the new year see how her diary is looking and maybe aim for April/May to allow her time to make my order as I'll be handing out invites in July. Oh my gosh, I miss a few days and have so much to catch up on!

It was 150 days to go for us yesterday and tomorrow is our 6 year anniversary since we got together. We thought about going out for dinner but have scrapped that for a takeaway, bottle of wine and cuddles on the sofa. Sounds like a perfect evening to me! X

I didn't send save the dates but thinking I maybe should have. We get married just when people start booking holidays but hey ho, not to worry.

Question for you ladies..... Apparently it's an old tradition that he doesn't but, do you want your groom to watch you walking down the aisle??

I can't make my mind up. I do cos I want him to be so proud of the hard work an effort yet I don't as I want him to be surprised lol....
I'm sure he will though xxx

I'm with you on that one Emma. I'd love to see OH face as I walk down the aisle and so I can just focus on him whilst walking down and also everyone else will be able to see his face too.

Then on the other hand I want it to be a special moment between us when he turns to me at the front. Hmmm I don't know either

That's what is making me nervous too Katie. It suddenly dawned on me the other day that I'll be the centre of attention and it's not something I am very comfortable with. Even though I love performing on stage in my amateur dramatics, it's never me on that stage and it's scripted, but this is me and not scripted!!! I think my Dad is going to be nervous as well as he's actually quite shy. We're going to get the speeches done with before dinner so he can relax. I did mention the speech to him the other day, but he said he wants to do it off the cuff. I dont want him to feel under pressure to do anything long as I know he's not comfortable with this. My OH, on the other hand, loves public speaking - I'd say he's quite the extrovert in a crowd and I know he is going to want to try and outdo the best man speech....!!! I've already told him to let his brother -best man - get on with organising his stag, but he had to have control over it and put together all the stag emails as said his brother wasn't being as thorough as he should be!! He's also a bit of a perfectionist!!!

My oh has just ordered his brother some best man cuff links and bright pink socks to match to ask him to be best man and he's bought himself matching .. Grr! Spending all that money on suits for him to buy clown colours that will probably look silly with posh suits.

Plus I was going to buy him personalised cuff links to give him as his presents on the morning of the wedding.

    Brilliant

I'd like to try rings on and get proper advice rather than order online I think.

Well be getting our rings next year by the looks of it, I think wedding stuff is on hold for now over Christmas.
Emmilou we did start lookingat ideas for rings about 6 weeks ago and in one of the shops the lady said that the new season starts around February so there should be some sort of sale on with the new stock coming in. Maybe you can grab a bargain!

I noticed with g0ld5m1th5 if you look online there is a pop up comes up and offers 10% off diamond rings, I found my ring I store and looked again online so could work out cheaper but I also seen I store buying two wedding rings they sometimes have an offer on when buying both so worth a look before you buy and see what's cheaper xx
