Hello ladies been a little while hope everyone is ok.

Mrs wade the hangers are really nice I was looking at them.

Becci your dress is lovely and I wouldn't worry about the back of the dress until you need to.

Flossie I wanted to do something like that with Oh and he just looked at me as if I was stupid so I took that as a no lol.
You could always ask the dj they might be able to do something and I think it a nice idea as it's the same song just a different tempo xx

As soon as I posted that I went off the idea lol I'm doing my own head in now with music choices! Good job it's home time in a min and I will have to leave y0utub3 haha.

I think at the moment I am favouring the original Stand By Me by Ben E King. Got my choreography juices flowing now too xx

Hooray we finally booked suits, and OH decided to pay for them in full there and then as he'd been saving up a while to do it so it's one more thing completely sorted. The old doddery man had made the booking correctly on our previous visit when the girl checked for the details but had just stumbled at the final hurdles of printing all the docs and making us pay. Kinda wish we hadnt gone back as we might have got the suits for free lol but then we wanted to be sure the order had gone through!! X

Yay - exciting Kirsty. What colours have you gone for? Top / tails? We need to start looking at suits - OH was a slim fit navy one as doesn't want to do the whole top and tails thing as hated his outfit when he was best man and only had the hat for the shortest amount of time possible.

    Yay good news Kirsty!

My OH is the same Lindsey, gone for a slim fit navy T3d B@k3r suit, which cost more than someone people spend on a wedding dress!!! Lol. We've gone for grey suits for the groomsmen from n3xt x

Oh yeah, wouldn't be spending that amount 4 times over!!!! Although MIL is buying OH's suit, so that's a big weight off our shoulders. Spent £160 per suit for the groomsmen anyway which I think is more than enough! xx

As we paid for the suits we're asking the guys to pay for their own shirts and shoes. But we are getting everything else like ties, belts, tie slides, cufflinks etc.

Our dads are both in the same suit. OH's dad is one of his best men though. But I think we would have had him in the same suit anyway xx

Again though, massive cost out of the way and I'm so glad we did it when we did as I'd be freaking out right about now. My fingers haven't changed much at all with weight loss xx

I ordered my wedding ring the same size of my engagement ring. It is a little loose but the smaller size felt too tight I hate right rings. Hopefully I don't lose any weight on my fingers haha didn't really think about it. OH wants to lose weight too hopefully his will be ok too. He will only be wearing his ring at weekends too. He might get a cheap one for during the week

I'm the opposite, I prefer them to be a bit tight so they don't move round my finger. I like my engagement ring sitting in a certain position, would bug me if it moved round and I had to keep straightening it!

Lindsey, OH always wanted tails and that is more of a weddingy suit to me too so I was please. We hired all our suits from sl@ters for £84 each for grey tail suit, waistcost, shirt, cravat and pocket square (both in plum) and OH has got a top hat to stand out as the groom. He also wants a cane but I think he'll look like Willy Wonka with the purple theme. It was pay for 5 suits, get the 6th free I think and it could be the most expensive one which means we don't have to pay extra for his top hat. Both dads have the same suit to fit in with the bridal party.

Rings are still on our list to do. OH wants a simple white gold band as my engagement ring is white gold but its a really tricky shape and none of the shaped wedding rings have worked with it yet so I'm debating getting a ring I just really like and wearing my engagement ring on my other hand. My birthstone is sapphire so I keep looking at those ones. X

Hello ladies! We're getting married on 3 September 2016 so just under a year now!

We've got the church and venue sorted fairly quickly but as we were selling/buying a house, wedding planning wasnt our priority for a while but I'm back on it now!

We met a photographer last weekend and really liked him so thinking of booking him. I'm researching some bands now and found one I really like!

Next on my list is a dress... I had a look last weekend and tried on probably close to 20 dresses.. all of them were beautfiul but none of them made me feel extra special, none of them really stood out to me so I think I'll carry on looking.. think this will be the most difficult bit.
How long did it take you to find your dresses ladies? Ah Becci if you post the designer/model of the mermaid dress you mentioned that would be really helpful as it sounds liek something Im looking for! thanks xx
