Weather was gorgeous so we fed the deer, I love spending time there. We're having 76 day time guests (6 children) and 100 evening but might add a few more evening guests if needs be.

We're also getting married on the Friday, it's the new Saturday! Lol ;-) We haven't sent Save the dates yet but we've made them. Was a debate over numbers. Surely the fairest way is to split the numbers in half right so 34 each?

Hi everyone. Haven't been on in a few days been do busy at work. We went and looked at wedding rings the other day seen some lovely ones but I can't decide whether I want a plain band or one with diamonds and if I do go diamonds whether I want them in the middle or offset! They both go lovely with my engagement ring. What's everyone else having?

Last month was a bad month financially and we didn't put away any money for wedding! Hope we can put away some more this month!

We haven't finalised our guest list yet but our numbers are sitting around 180 at the minute!! Oh has a lot more on his guest list than mines. And that's cutting people out. They prob won't be happy but we can't have everyone oh has SO many cousins etc! I'm not sending my invites out until 6-8 weeks before. Seems to be the norm here. I have to give hotel approx numbers 2 weeks before and definite numbers 3 days before

Stressful day today, rang the place we were planning on holding the reception and they said price would be £150 for 6-11.45 but if we wanted from 4 (our ceremony is at 2.30 so if we have it from 4 once we've had ceremony photos etc we can move straight on to there) then it'll be an extra £50, said if we paid the £150 then we could secure it told them I needed to speak to h2b (he was at work) and they then added that we didn't want to leave it too long as someone else interested (not sure I believe that)

h2b wasn't sure as £150 is alot when we haven't budgeted to spend that at this point but if I thought we could manage it then go ahead, so I rang them back but they said the £150 would just secure it for 6-11.45 but if we wanted 4-11.45 we need to pay £200, was gonna pay £150 so secure from 6 then pay the extra £50 next month to secure from 4 but mum said that is risky incase they book someone else in before us, I now don't know what to do pay to secure from 6 then extra later or just hold back the money we've got now then next month when we've got the full lot ring back and secure from 4 xx

Thanks MDouglas, can't you call them back to make sure they won't have anyone else in before you? Surely they can't have cause they would have to clean the room for it to be ready for you at 6? I'd phone and check tbh xx

Mdouglas have you had anymore info from venue? Hope you can sort it out if it's where you really wanted, is that just the deposit with more to pay? Caus if your securing it then surely they can't book anyone else in on same day

Its just a function room, we're not having a sit down meal etc we're just hiring hall/function room putting on a buffet and just having a little party to celebrate, we're to pay £150 to secure room from 6 or £200 to secure it from 4 with nothing more to pay but if on the night more then £800 is spent at the bar we get £100 back, I don't think we're going to get much better plus they've said if we give them any decorations the night before or on the morning they will out them all up for us for no extra charge, I'm just in 2 minds whether to secure it from 6 for now or wait til next month and secure it for the full time we want from 4, spoke to h2b but he's no help he doesn't want a party he'd be happier just coming home having a chilled evening just us after ceremony only reason we're having party is coz he knows its what I want xx

Thats what I was thinking but mum put doubts in my mind grr lol, gonna try having a word with h2b today and see if we can sort something x

I've decided to take the stress out of it, spoke to h2b and we're going to leave the reception for the moment and ring back next month and if its still available we'll book and if its not then we'll just find somewhere else

We went to get OH finger measured yesterday whilst at the local outlet and there's me thinking he'd be an S or something.... No, he's a Z + 1 lol..... At least we can get accurate pricing now I know he has jumbo sausages!!

Finally was able to get all the girls together over the weekend so they could try on their dresses together! The blue and green look really similar in this picture due to the lighting, even though are really quite different (second pic is better reflection of colour!!)
