I have to admit I feel a little behind in my preparations, but I am having a very small affair with 50 guests max, no evening party, just dinner and drinks with our nearest and dearest!

You all are doing so well with planning, I am certainly feeling motivated now! :)

Yes Becci, I reckon the dress issue will be the real struggle, I have my own dress to buy, my two sisters who are my bridesmaids, one who is very slim and the other is curvy and will have given birth to a little one not long before the wedding! I also have my 5yo daughter as well as my three nieces doing flower girl duties.... HANDS DEFINITELY FULL HERE

Never compare yourself to the models!!!! My mum actually said my dress looked nicer on me than it did on the model (even though I couldn't do it up hahaha), she said it looked more "real" and more like a bride not a doll lol xx

Don't feel behind - we only started planning properly in August and that gave us less than 12 months, so you have plenty of time :-)

Thanks Becci - I thought I'd end up with vintage lace all over, cap sleeves and a bateau neckline, but all over lace wasn't a good look on me!!!!

See you're from County Durham - not stalking you - we're thinking of relocating there from Sussex next year. My OH is originally from Durham and we've been up there looking at houses!

What a lovely dress Flossie!!

I had m0r1 l33 for my prom dress and loved it but not the store .. My dress arrived two weeks before prom 2 sizes too big even though they measured me so I gave the shop a wide berth which is a shame because the designer has gorgeous dresses

Funny how different shops are totally different. I went to two on Saturday - first one was so lovely and relaxed and the lady was really attentive, giving me advice etc. Second shop I went to was like a conveyor belt, which I won't be going back to - 3 other brides to be also trying dresses on and dresses being swapped from one changing room to another. No advice or anything.

Both the shops I went to were local smaller shops ... Mainly gimmick designer gowns because designers didn't really mean much to me .. I got an a1lf3d in th end without even realising!

These are mine that should be arriving today, simple but match my dress to a t because it's lace with a satin body hugging sash with silver detail... Excited!
They were cheap too which I'm surprised at!

Photos can be deceiving but it was free returns so I thought why not! that's my dress .. I saw them and thought they're practically made for it! X

I still doubt it ... I Loved the mermaid I tried to I'll find the photos; this one is more classic though and vintage and timeless: the bridal shop owner said it was her favourite in the shop but it was discontinued .. Can't wait to see it two sizes smaller and fitting properly!! I'm debating getting the bodice fitted a bit further down into my hips but going to just get it to fitting me properly first then decide :)

Had a quiet night in work last night and spent a good while online looking at wedding stuff. One major thing! M0ns00n have changed the colour of the bridesmaids dress to a deeper pink!!!! That's what I get for not ordering!!! I'm going to do a post about them and I'll put photos in album if use wouldn't mind having a look

I ordered a sample invite off the bay last night and some hessian/lace material to practice making the bows for my pew ends. Going to order hangers when I get paid. Also seen lots of lovely signs etc. got me really excited. I was going to change my shifts this weekend to go to wedding fayre at our venue but not going to bother as all I have to do now is bridesmaids dresses and flowers b4 Xmas then suits and honeymoon and little bits shoes jewellery etc after Xmas

I'm just having a listen to a few songs on Y0utub3, really can't make my mind up on a first dance song! I suggest songs to OH and I think he'd agree to anything as long as he liked it lol, I like too many though. Still not even sure if I want a proper slow one or an upbeat one to twist tradition a little xx

For me at the moment it's out of The One by Kodaline, Stand By Me by Ben E King, or Everything by Michael Buble... very different songs! xx

They are very different!! What does h2b think is he swayed more towards one?

I think his favourite is probably Stand By Me, which I do love as well because it's an oldie and a bit different to what people generally have these days. I will also be choreographing our first dance (still a natural feel though, not OTT!) and it would be easier to choreograph to I think than the others.

Neither of us dance so ours will be a disaster lol!

We were at a wedding last year and H2B actually danced! I was shocked lol but it was very slow and not much movement haha

Our band do a ceilidh section! he will hate that haha xx

I did everything backwards!

I chose my shoes first as fell in love with them and they were being discontinued so hard to get hold of. Turns out they go perfectly with my dress!

I also bought bridesmaids dresses before I bought my own lol. I knew I probably wanted a lacey/illusion effect neckline and my bridesmaids dresses have a lacey neckline xx

we've not brought up the music subject for a while lol think we will wait till next year!

H2B still hasn't picked his best man! xx

Do you think it would be possible for a DJ to mix the Kailey Swanson version of Stand By Me with the Ben E King version? Thinking it would be nice to start with the Kailey S version and then slowly merge into the original upbeat version to get everyone dancing? Not sure if they're just too different to merge though.
