That's what I'm leaning towards at the moment Katie, also a nice way to tie in the colour of my bouquet as nothing else will be that colour apart from the flowers on the cake! Got so many colours going on anyway I don't think one more will hurt haha xx

We have sorted our Mini Moon as I won an overnight stay on another website in a country hotel in Surrey so we are extending the stay to 3 nights as Surrey is a bit of a trek from Durham!

What is everyone doing for confetti? I just found a great deal on the bay, 50 confetti cones and sticky tape to assemble them and then 4 litres of dried petals to fill them, only £24.99 xx

I'm thinking of just getting a few boxes but not going to do anything fancy. I would expect most guests to bring it with them. Need to check with our venue if they allow confetti actually xx

I'm not getting any confetti. If guests want to bring it then that's up to them, although we aren't allowed any at the church x

We visited the friend with the fake cake and are going to give it a trial icing a tier to see how it looks before committing. But she had loads of other stuff too so we also got a massive arrow chalkboard which we might use to point people to the church as its a bit hidden from the road, a big heart chalk board we might write a thank you message on, 8 mirror plates, some adorable homemade gift bags for favours that they never used so we could put the jam pots in them and a box full of fake white roses for decorations. X

Aww thanks ladies. The detail beading on the back is one of the reasons i fell in love with it. Its a one off so no one will ever have the same dress and its currently being stored at my dads, also it was a steal at £500!!

One of my BM hasn't shown any interest at all. Been difficult arranging dates to meet etc. I asked her if she still wanted to do it as I felt her heart wasn't really in it and she told me she can't commit to it so she has stepped down and is coming as a guest. My maid of honour has sent me a message saying she's worried about it all and wants to talk. I'm seeing her tomorrow to see what's happening. I just don't know what to think or feel. Everything else has gone smoothly, the only thing that has ever stressed me out is the BMs. Maybe I didn't choose the right people, I don't know. I don't have a very close circle of friends or a particular best friend. The BM that stepped down was my best friend but since she's been with her partner she has kind of shunned me a bit and we have grown apart. Obviously I won't know what's going on with my maid of honour until I speak to her tomorrow, but I'm getting really upset by it all x

Not been on here for a while trying to keep busy at work!

I'm having the same problem as you with my bridesmaids Katie - all I'd like them to do is help with the hen do plans but they don't seem that interested. I need to order their dresses this month and they don't even seem that excited about that!! I've asked one to come and see me tomorrow for a chat because I think she's having a few issues so I want her to know that I'm there to support her as much as I can.

I've just got some really bad news from my gp as well :( 6 weeks after my car accident and my back is still so painful and acupuncture has stopped relieving any pain; I've not been sleeping the headaches were unbearable and my arms and hands were going numb all the time. My gp seemed quite concerned and he's booked me an urgent neuro consultant appointment to get me referred for Mri scans as he thinks it sounds like nerve problems on my neck or back.

That was bad enough to hear for me until he went on to say it doesn't necessarily mean you'll need surgery .. That didn't even cross my mind .. Now I'm worrying that this could go on for months longer and might even mean I have scars down my back and my dress is really low at the back so it'll show everything.

It's all just a waiting game now but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared, I'm on tramadol and diazepam to help with the pain but they either make me sick if I take the maximum dose or don't fully kill the pain if I take the lower dose. To make matters worse I've been signed off on the sick for 4 weeks because of it so I have nothing better to think about!

Just when I'd got to he stage where I was feeling really good about the wedding with everything booked and ready and now I might have to change my gorgeous dress if I need an op or worse even delay. I hope the scans don't show any irregularities!
