So I have just been looking at bouquet images online to get an idea for Saturday when I meet with a few florists. I like the idea of posy bouquets and was wondering what the main difference is between brides bouquets and bridesmaid bouquets, as in colouring. Our colour is cadbury purple and I love the idea of having a white and purple mixed bouquet for me, but what about the bridesmaids - do they have entirely purple or white? I just don't want the bouquets to look too alike for me and the BMs, but not sure how to make them differ.

What are you girls doing with bouquets?

Ours is Cadbury purple too, I was thinking purple with white for me, and smaller white with purple for bridesmaids.

I've put these in my ideas album

Purple must be popular that's my colour scheme aswell...I'm just having my sis as my bm and she is quite small in height (I'm 5"2 and she's up to my shoulder)wouldn't mind but she's 18 in November!I'm thinking of just giving her either a very small bunch or a corsage depending on the size of my flowers...I think a smaller, basic (but beautiful) copy of your flowers but maybe keep your favourite flower for your bouquet

Sorry meant to continue....so that they tie in to yours but are different...ask your florist I'm sure that's one of the most common asked questions

I had two shades of blue and white in mine, and the bridesmaids had pale blue. My twin brother's wife gave the bridesmaids smaller versions of hers, while my younger brother's wife had hers made professionally and my aunt made the bridesmaid posies.

I was looking at having exactly the same bouquet as my bridesmaids, just mine would be bigger than theirs x

You can have them any way you want!

I'm having a gorgeous mix of turquoise and white/creams and a bit of foliage in a shower bouquet so it's a bit extravagant being the bride and all! Then my BM are having posies all cream roses with turquoise ribbon around the base to tie in the colours :)

Thanks ladies - I was go0gling bouquets yesterday and saw so many one coloured bouquets for bridesmaids but I wasn't much of a fan - do like the idea of the difference being in size or flower type, didn't think of these.

Leasa - I found those same pics last night and have saved them to show florists tomorrow. I do like the added beads / diamonds in some to add a bit more bling, perhaps can add that to mine as well.

I have a list of my fave flowers that are out in may and a few pics so feel a bit more prepared.

So many cadbury purple brides out there - yay!

I am also purple! For me, I am having a waterfall bouquet with a mixture of colours and lots of greenery but mainly purple.

the way I am working it is because I have no purple on me except my flowers, my MOH however is all purple so she will have mainly ivory with a bit of purple. My bridesmaid will have a mixture and her dress is ivory bottom, purple top. My flowergirls are ivory dresses with a band of purple so she will just have a wand of mixture colours :)

When I was looking at posies I was getting my BM the same bouquet as mine only smaller and mine had diamanté pins in each flower so it was a bit different.

I am having a bunch of cream roses with forget-me-nots in and the bridesmaids are having just plain cream roses. As they are going to be in blue already I didn't want too much colour.

My bouquet was red grand prix roses to match the bridesmaid dresses, my bridesmaids had ivory roses to match my dress, then hubby had a red grand prix rose as his button hole and all groomsmen and the dads had ivory rose as theirs. My sister had exactly the same colour scheme for her wedding but her bouquet was a mix of red and ivory as we're our bridesmaids bouquets but we had different flowers to hers and our bouquets were obviously smaller too.
