just spoke to photographer, turns out they could end up missing all the bridal prep! :( they wont be arriving until 90 mins before we leave which will be 1pm, my make up artist is arriving at 10:30am to do my mums make up then mine will be done after as she needs to leave by 1pm and my hair dresser will be there at 12. i dont know what to do..

As was saying in the original thread, just because they have changed their packages and prices, makes no difference. You booked and are paying for the original package - the original package includes bridal prep and they need to adhere to that. That is the package you went for, there are reasons why you chose it, that is why they have your custom so they need to stick to their side of the deal.

I don't understand - what reason did they give for not turning up? If you have signed a contract which included bridal prep, they are in breach of contract. They are obliged to give you what you paid for, end of.
im waiting for her to email me back, i just read on there site that they do a max of 9.5 hrs so im going to suggest they turn up at 11 then leave at 8, thats 0.5 hrs less than some people

i didnt have a contract. at least i dont think so. they just sent me an email saying that 1 photographer will be with me at 1pm the other with paul. i feel like crying! i dont know what to do. the whole point in this was that i wanted bridal prep thru to first dance. only photos ill have is of my getting into my dress, thats not bridal prep thats me putting a frikin dress on. im sorry but with 10 days to go its all going wrong :'(

They really should have given you a contract hun! Do you have it anywhere in writing that bridal prep was included in the package you paid for? If not there's not much you can do other than hope they will come earlier and then leave earlier :( Sorry its all going wrong so close to your day xxxx

It's rough that it's so close now so you are short of time but 10 days is still a good amount of time in the real world (the non-wedding world) check all the info you have written down and then call them or ask them to call you and get the details sorted so you can put your mind at rest xx

I know this might not be any help but at my wedding, the photographer's only going to come round for about half an hour and take portraits of everyone and "fake" bridal prep so like the make up artist pretending to put make up on me but I'll already be made up. I don't know if that's an option for you?

this is the very first email i received from them We offer many packages, including the silver package at £499. For this you'll get 2 photographers. We'll provide you with a dvd of all the high resolution images for you to print or use at will and all your photos in a re-sized version too for easy up loading to internet sites or emailing. Also we will do a pre-wedding shoot if time permits and use one of these pictures or a shot from your wedding in a signing frame for your guests to sign as a guest book on the day. You will also get the best 500 of your photos in 6"X4" prints as proofs to help you select your album choices. We offer albums in all price ranges which you can choose after the day at your convenience. We currently are offering a £50 discount on albums with all wedding bookings made in 2011. We will cover the bridal preparations right through to the wedding breakfast speeches or 7.30pm whichever is earliest. We will also stay on and cover the evening party for an extra £100 if you wish.

i wont be able to get fake shots as by the time photographer shows up make up artist would have left. might just speak to hair dresser and see if she can come at 1pm at least that way ill have the hair prep shots can understand why people elope

Ok then, so they have stated that they cover the bridal prep so they can't go back on that now. Tell them that you have it in writing from them that bridal prep will be covered, this is what you paid for, and so this is what you expect to get. 1pm is no good as by that time you will be ready and bridal prep will be over, therefore you need them to be present from 11am and as they have stated previously that they only cover photography for a max of 9.5 hours you will be expecting them to leave around 8.30pm and would much prefer this to them coming at 1pm and leaving at 10.30pm. It is your right to have what you paid for hun xxx

Agree with Katya, email = contract, they have sent it to you in black and white. If they are sending 2 photographers can't one of them arrive earlier so that you get all the shots you want?

There both coming together, its husband and wife. By sounds of.email I just received they can come early but will have to leave early. Everything is going wrong. Thought dj was starting at 6 but he's starting at 7:30. Argh!!! I just want to scream

the e-mail says if they do bridal prep they will leave after the speeches or 7,30pm whichever is earliest so depending on how you have set your day up they may miss your reception alltogether. like if you are doing speeches at wedding breakfast beofre the reception then they will leave then! if i were you i would get on the phone and calmly tell them what it was you thought you were getting and what you want and see what they can do, you may be stressing over nothing! my photographer is not doing bridal prep its banned lol but i have given my bm's and the groomsmen some disposable cameras for any shots they want i have also got disposable cameras for the evening reception dotted around the room for guests to get carried away with i love seeing natural pictures especially seeing other peoples view points so therefore our photographer will leave after the first dance.
