Well as some of you may know I've had so many problems with my bm, so after a lot of thought I was going to sack her. When I invited her round she was reasonable and was then going to keep her. I have been thinking about it since, and really don't want her. I keep seeing updates on her social networking page about how hot she's looking and picture uploads of her pouting. I really don't want someone in my bridal party. I am now thinking I could use the excuse that I cant afford to have one and she may not take offence at this. My h2b is having one best man and one usher and I'm having a young flower girl and page boy. Do you think it would be strange if I didn't have a bm? At the end of the day she won't come to dress fittings with me and she is not helping me with my hen night so I don't see the point in having her, only for the photos. Any advice please x x

I wouldnt have her either if u feel like that. Its your day. She may offer to pay for her own dress so just say u dont really need any and its the hair make up shoes gift etc... u really cant afford. Also dont just have her cause of photos. Im only having my sis sil and best mate as bm's. Me and my mate have never fallen out she would come to anything i asked her dress fitting appointments etc... she offered to help make anything like favours cupcakes invites even there bm's flowers. Im telling my photographer i only want very limited pics of our sisters and brothers partners and friends, main pics will b our family, mums dads bro' and sister's and no kids. I know it will look bad to people but my sis got marrid years ago and she says to this day if she could of changed 1 thing she would of had no siblings partners and kids in pics as her wedding album now is weired as she dont have anythink to do with both bro's ex's she dont c certain bm's as much and dont c 1 bro's kid at all. So just b carefull who is in ur main pics.

She sounds a bit like my bm's. One of them is only interested in being bm for the dress. Im totally scunnered with my bm's to be honest as well. I think honestly you should sack her as she isn't being a bm at all. Just another guest and u happen to b paying for her dress!

I'd sack her. BM's are there to help the bride not just to look pretty. My BM's are both so involved in everything including coming up with creative ideas and offering to help with things and following through on the offers xx

I wouldn't have her if i was you, you don't want to be worried about being out-staged on YOUR day! I think it would be sweet with just a flower girl and page boy.
Ours is just one best man, two ushers and two bridesmaids.. It's entirely up to you what you want! x

Dont think it would be weird at all and I would definately sack her and quick!!!

The only thing i would think about is who will help you into your dress and make sure littleones are ready etc thats the only reason i would have 1 BM but that my personal feeling if your hapy for family to do it then great think be very qute justt the little ones x

Thanks guys I have made my decision, I'm going to tell her I can't afford to have one and now she has offered to pay for her dress but she expects me to pay for her hair etc so will tell her it's that I can't afford. My friend who is the mother of my flower girl will help me into the dress and organise the little ones I'm sure. The only reason I didn't choose her for a bm is because she has had a new baby but she has been dress shopping etc with me and said she will help me with my hen x x
