I was going to make my own horseshoe made out of polymer clay with our names and date on, and have my 2 boys put their finger prints into the back of the clay so I have their lasting impressions, and their involvement in making it. Then have my youngest boy (pageboy) carry it into chuch and hand it to me after the ceremony. My mum says its not right to make my own and it should be bought and given to the bride without her involement and that someone will probably buy me one as a good luck gift. Not sure what to do now as I did want to make it and have my boys enjoy doing their part, in casting their finger prints. Should it be bought by someone else? xx
