I have been listening to loads of different songs for the ceremony and first dance. There are so many lovely songs for the bridal entrance but so many of them make me want to cry!!! Is anyone else nervous of making a fool of themselves by being an emotional wreck whilst making the big entrance???? Xx

I used to be really worried about not being able to hold it together and crying my eyes out, But about 6 months ago my gran passed away and I wrote a poem for her and read it at the funeral, It was hard but with a few seconds to pull myself together go through it, and know if I can do that I can do this. Has any of you been obsessing like me trying to work out the timings of the bms to start walking and how fast they will go. I want my music to fade out between 1.50 and 2.14 , my aisle is quite long and have my MOH, my BM, my JBM and my flowergirl then me and mum. If cannot fit it in, may have JBM go down the aisle with my daughter the FG.

Just found a really good pic of our aisle, so i've been working out the steps to the music,

As you can see it steps at the top of the stairs, Have worked out would be best to play the music till the end, have the 2 adults got down with a 10? second gap, then the 2 girls together , then a little break for the instrumental part for the girls to get down the ailse so then I can have my moment . they will have to walk like step stop, together stop to the beat. and then I should get to the end just as its ending

Hoping for outside, When we went last summer, all 4 times we went it was always beautiful weather. But we do have a plan B

I'm having the choir that i'm a member of sing Love Divine as I walk down the aisle. It's in a chapel, and it's a tradition in my family to have this hymn somewhere in the service. My mum walked down the aisle to this, and it was played at my nan's funeral. I'm really hoping that I can hold myself together as I'm quite an emotional person. I blubbed like a baby whilst I was doing a reading at my brother's wedding!!!

I thought I'd cry so much but not a tear on the day. I think I was so overwhelmed i just didn't cry. I walked in to the church and down the aisle to Schubert's Ave Maria. My sister had a civil ceremony for her wedding and walked in to Pavane's Faure. Both absolutely beautiful pieces of music x
