    Hi All,

When usually does the bride throw the bouquet? And I would like to keep my bridal bouquet (I have seen you can have them made in to paperweights or preserved in a frame) so do I need another bouquet made up for it then?

    Thanks! xx

I wanted to keep mine so I got a bunch of roses the night before the wedding and made a small bouquet up to throw.

I threw mine once our evening guests had arrived. I didn't originally want to throw it, but our photographer wanted a shot of me throwing it off the balcony as he said it would make a lovely shot. I had an artificial bouquet and just retrieved it from the lucky catcher later in the evening :-)

I'm having a smaller bouquet made for tossing. Am going to get all the single ladies on the dance floor after the evening food and cake cutting.

I didn't do a bouquet toss, not that many of my friends at the wedding were single or unmarried so didn't really seem worthwhile, didn't want to throw my beautiful flowers anyway ha ha.

I also didn't throw my bouquet as wanted to keep it. I kept a few of the flowers and have had these pressed. The remainder of the bouquet I put on my grandmother's grave.

I won't be doing the toss. I'm having a brooch bouquet so Throwing would be a terrible idea I wanted to keep it afterwards and thought this would be a great way.

I don't think there's a time you have to do it. You could do it straight after the ceremony before you head off to the reception or when your taking the wedding photos. If you want to preserve it I'd get another made or throw the flower girls

It's not the done thing here. I've never been to a wedding where the bride has threw the bouquet. We put our bouquets on loved ones graves after

I didn't have a bouquet when we got married in Brazil, and there tossing the bouquet is really something we do there. So, I want to do it here, but first, I don't know how many single ladies I will have at the wedding, second, my bouquet will be made with pine cones, so not really soft lol

I didn't throw mine as I just didn't want to. My sister threw one but not hers, she threw one of the bridesmaid bouquets instead.

You could just get one made up to throw if you want to keep yours.

Usually it's thrown after the wedding breakfast just before the evening reception.

I didn't toss my bouquet. I didn't have any other flowers other than the ones the men wore, so didn't want to toss it. (I had candles, and artificial flowers on the candelabras)

Ive never heard of putting the wedding flowers on a loved ones grave, but its such a lovely thought! My granddad died last year and he was suppose to walk me down the aisle, but the comments have made me think about getting a nice preserved buttonhole to match with my h2b and put it on his grave :)

I never thought about it actually most of the people coming to the wedding are in couples, there are only a few single people, but my mum and her partner have been together for 10 years, so I really want her to catch it as its about time he popped the question so this would be a big hint if she caught it lol!

I had a mini version of my bouquet made up that I threw and the lucky catchee got to keep :)

I went to a wedding recently where she threw her actual bouquet then asked for it back, but it had got a bit battered as a guy caught it and threw it at the nearest single girl.....

Yea it's nice to do. Unfortunately my sisters grave was too far away for us to leave mines there before we went on honeymoon so we put the bridesmaids bouquets on our grandparents graves and we stretched hubby's buttonhole to my bouquet and put it on his brothers grave

No tossing for us as we only have a couple of single ladies coming.

Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan
