I'm now onto the underwear as obviously need to get it sorted for dress fitting and was wondering about peoples thoughts. bras or basques? I've found a beautiful bridal basque on bravissimo. I'm quite petit but have a big chest definitley an hourglass shape.(lucky me!) unfortunately i can usually only get my underwear from bravissimo for this reason

I must be crazy giving myself only 6 months!

I have bought both but only because i really want to wear a basque but dont think will look right under my dress so bought the matching bra and then will put the basque on at bed time

I think it depends on what you'd feel most comfortable with - I was originally thinking about going for a basque as they do look really nice, but I've never worn one before and got concerned I'd end up feeling uncomfortable as the day went on so I've gone for a bra instead :)

I think it also depends on if your dress has a "built-in" corset. It's hard to tell from the photos of your dress, but I think it's quite likely that it has some sort of boning in it. If you wore a basque wouldn't you have two sets of boning?

I bought the bra and basque of my set so I could decide on the day as my dress had a little bit of a corset in, but chose comfort and wore the bra. Also easier for going to the toilet!

that's true...it's going to be hard enough going to the toilet with an underskirt on as well as the dress! maybe i could buy both as a treat. to be honest even though the dress has straps which they're going to put on poppers so I can remove them for the evening i'm still going to have to buy a strapless bra and i'm not all that comfortable in them either. I guess the best thing to do is have a trip to chester on my next free day! who knows i might even find some shoes while i'm there! hmph. the littler things seem to be thie things causing me most bother!

I really wanted a basque but I would have been WAY too hot in one. In the end I went for a long-length bra which gave a really good sillohette and great shaping. I was so pleased as it was knocking 40C in Vegas and I would have died from the heat with yet another layer on LOL!

i feel your pain Embbem im also petit with big boobs, blessed aparantly! i think not :( I will be getting a bra probably off the net same as you but i will look around town first in case i see something cheaper as most strapless bra's are white ro ivory anyway so not very exiting! i dont know if i will bother with any sexy underwear as i know my other half would prefer to see me with nothing on to be honest! x

Im having a bra, as the earlier post says if your dress has a boned corset it would be uncomfortable to wear both.x

Bra defo, i too am 'blessed' with larger assets, I bought a basque recently and wore it to a different function with a tighter dress on top and it ruined my day totally - so uncomfortable :( .

I was wondering if i could get away without. have to see when i go for my fitting and after my dress is altered as it's a little bit big at the minute.
