I cant believe there isnt already a thread for this? ~I did look......

anyone else doing this? I am sending mine to some lovely ladies and they will preserve my bouquet and h2b button hole and then put the button hole and one peony from my bouquet into a paperweight and then mount the rest of my bouquet into a frame so i can have it forever more!

even better is they only charge £35 now and you pay the rest about 6 weeks after your wedding when the flowers are ready.
(they also do free pick up of your flowers from Glasgow airport if any Scottish girls are interested, shame I am flying out from inverness so have courier them down to Glasgow)

the company I am using charge about £65 for a paperweight, then for the size of posie I have about £185 to be mounted into a frame. There are loads of companies in the UK that do it, and the prices are all roughly about the same. Some mount onto jewellery boxes, acrylic cubes, or whatever you want!

its ********************. Its two sisters that run the company, and they are lovely ladies!
Just stick the name in google. There are loads of companies in England so sure you will find one close. Although most of them say that so long as the flowers are with them within 2 weeks its ok, so plenty time to send them anywhere in the UK. Although sooner the better obviously.

Details on your wall please not in the forum, please read the rule thread
    thanks

My sister had hers dried and put the petals in a wedding album with the photos her guests took on the day. so now she has 2 lovely albums and her flowers all in one :) she also kept some confetti and a few messages written on guests place names cards.

I have been having a look at this but it looks like its £200 plus which seems a lot when the bouquet only cost £60 :(

I might make my own paperweight using resin. My SIL makes them so may have a practice and see how it looks.

Good idea - the paperweights seem to be around £80 but you only get one or two flowers - they do freeze dry the flowers first though i think!
