I have put a couple of pictures on my profile of my bouquet that i have made. Can you lot tell me if it is hideous - be as honest as you like I really dont mind. Its the first time I have ever made anything like this and want to get it right so if I have to start again so be it.

thanks dove - there are more leaves underneath but you cant see because of the camera angle - so maybe your right a couple more wont hurt

I have been hunting for a bouquet I like for ages - saw a video of a girl making one like this only pink and decided to try it - "after all how hard could it be" I thought to myself - errrr that would be solid. I pricked my fingers with the diamante pins soo many times it was ridiculous.
I quite like the end result though - now for the bridesmaids

They look amazin!its just im toying with the idea of having "fake" flowers. The thing is i dont know much about flowers and have seen some lovely "fake" ones.
Did it take long to do?

Yeah they are fake flowers - you can get some really nice ones out there. the who bouquet including pins cost me £20.00. It took about 3 hours to do - its the preparation of the flowers thats the hard part as you have to cut all the bits off them.
You have to also remove the centre bits from the stephanotis and replace them with diamantes (which had to be cut - several stabbed fingers)
Putting the diamantes in the roses is easy. Just slots straight in.
i was going to have mine made fresh and found someone to do a plain rose bouquet but she really messed me around so i decided to have a go myself.

There are some fab ones out there now, and the roses we have seen are stunning and huge, we got fake ones for our centerpeices.
They look stunning and we know we could never have affored the same affect in fresh.

They are lovely! So proud of you. I've very DIY and I've got the flowers to do mine but trying to delay it as there is still more than a year to go and I dont want to do everything too soon as I am so excited. Great job on the flowers!

Wow - it's fantastic. I wish I could do that - but I'm sure most of us would pay good money for something as professional looking as that (I've seen a lot worse on ebay from actual shops).

claire88 - just a local supplier to me - I searched on the net and went round shops to have a look.
Showed it to my BM today and she thought I had bought it - she wouldnt believe me when I said I hadnt.
