Hi ladies,
AM I MAD?????? I went wedding dress shopping for the first time yesterday with my mum, just to try different styles so see what i like. Well i found my style - and this was the style i actually ruled out and i thought i was a little on the curvaceous side for this style, but looked gorjus on. Anyway I went to another shop and tried on more and i fell in love with a dress and i didnt want to take it off so i paid half for deposit there and then? I dont get married until 3rd May 2015 and i completely rushed into it or if its the one its the one and doesnt matter? Im planning on loosing a dress size (or 2) so i wont be getting measured to order the dress until a year before
HAve i rushed into it?

You'll get that panic with everything! I'm getting married July 2015 and of the 'big' things we sorted venue, photographer, videographer and my ring. After booking/buying each thing I had the 'have we rushed into this' feeling but it soon passes. We loved our venue and photographer, we instantly loved them, and they felt 'right' so why second guess ourselves when we were SO sure. The only issue I guess with a dress is that styles change and you MAY find something you prefer but the bridal shop may be willing to transfer your deposit to another if you change your mind and it hasnt been ordered in yet. Dont panic!

Hi Hun, Thanks, I wont keep looking at dresses anymore lol just incase i get that feeling, the style of dress fits perfectly with out theme aswell, its so hard to explain, its quite a fitted dress with a gradul flow and covered in gorgeous lace and little pearls and crystals. LOVE IT xx

I get married 4th July 2015 and went wedding dress shopping for the first time on 10th August.. I tried on 5 dresses but bought the first one I tried on !!!! It is THE one and it's perfect and beautiful and gave me butterflies and made me cry lol.. No way was i leaving without getting it ! Xxx

I think once you know, you know! I get married in March and only got my dress a few weeks ago but have looked at tonnes of dresses and was starting to think I may have to walk up the aisle in my knickers and a veil and then I tried my dress. I fell in love instantly and put my money down on it. I think it's still normal to have dress wobbles though. As my dress is not the kind of dress i thought I would go for I keep looking at it in pictures and thinking 'Was it the right decision?' but then I remember how I felt when I wore it in comparison to others I had tried.

I had nearly exactly the same story as you , went to just look, found dress completely different from what i thought i wanted, did not want to take it off, paid half deposit there on spot 15% off! Love it, going back in couple months to get measured, wedding is july 2015

When you know.... you know!! :) I only ordered my dress a few weeks ago and i keep thinking the same, what if id waited would i have found another one even better but then i look at pics of it and rememeber why i fell in love with it!!
I think with the amount of money you spend on a dress and the deposit alone, you wouldnt part with the money unless you know its right!!!

Its a lovely feeling though knowing thats the dress you will be wearing :)

It is true when you know you know but staying out if wedding dress shops are hard ESP cos my auntie got one their mainly sonsie which are too big got me and some abroad ones x

You just know when its the one! I found the one but didn't want to rush into it as its a big commitment and I had an appointment at another bridal shop a week later. Well I ended up going back to the dress I loved which says it all! If it feels right hun its the one x

I got mine with about 17 months to go... I had looked about 3 shops but had tried soooooo many dreses on by the time I tried on the one! Plus the price was going up if I'd ordered later, and it was 10% off on the designer day and as is a family friends shop, got some more money off! Just don't go trying on more!

And we lived happily ever after!

I agree with the other ladies if you know it's the one go for it :) I got my dress with 20 months to go,it was actually the first wedding purchase I made closely followed by my shoes lol x

Hey natalee , im getting married 3rd may 2015 too and my dress is in the shop ready to collect lol im going up to pay the rest tomorrow and there going to keep it in there for me til december then ill store it myself.. So your defiantely not mad. Once u know U KNOW!:D i was out bridesmaid dress shopping for someones wedding and saw my dress and instantly fell in LOVE: D excitinggg xxxx

Richard designs do nice veils try the bay there's a few on there as for tiaras try the bay, debs , glitzy secrets, rainbow club, Amanda Wyatt lol I've changed from full tiara to side tiara and long veil to shorter one by warren York xx

I did exactly the same ... I'd only been engaged for just over 2 weeks and went out 'window' shopping with my mum to see what styles I liked. Tried 3 different styles and then fell in love with one that was everything that I didn't want in a wedding dress - I had it on for half an hour until they asked me to take it off LOL! Needlesstosay I put a deposit down on it and couldn't be happier. Have also booked my church and venue. :-)
