Wedding Forum - Boredom is creeping in. . . . . . UPDATE...

Hey Ladies,

I am getting married on 4th July 2015 - Being so far away, there's very little 'doing' being able to be done...

We have paid the deposit for our venue.. Our venue offers a massive package which includes all table decorations, all table stationary (placecards menus etc) Also, all chair covers, table linen etc.. So those are all things ticked off of my 'search for' list....
I have created our wedding stationary on v.print (StD's, invitations, RSVP's, Order of Service) but can't ordered them because need to confirm times with our venue and it's too early to send them out anyway..
Theme is chosen..
Appointments with photograhers in May..
Bouquet design chosen..

I know there is other stuff but can't remember it at the moment :-/

I wont be looking for my dress until Sept-Oct next year, same for MOH dress..

Me and H2B wont go shopping for our rings until January/February 2015 prob, make sure we leave time for alterations as I have
the tendancy to choose rings that they don't have my size in so need them resized..

Boredom is really starting to creep in now as H2B has a wedding project going on and he's ordering thing after thing and giggling at me from over the laptop lol.. And I have nothing to look for now... At least I don't think I do..

If any of you can think of anything I've missed that can take away my boredom I'd be extremely grateful :-) xx

Theres lots to do heres a lil list for you Im 23rd October 2016 and I'm finding plenty to do getting ideas there is so much to do so much to plan =D ♥ X

Wedding fayres are few and far between where I live, but will definitely be searching to see when they are..
Hoenymoon I shall start looking for, though we may be going to Nicky's aunties apartment in Spain... He wants a more extravagent honeymoon, but I don't think we'll be able to afford one and to be honest, just being away with my new husband will be enough for me :-)

My mum is doing my hair and part of my make up and then I'll finish with eye liner and mascara..

I'm not wearing shoes :-)

Lingerie I have a few ideas, but with the dress I want, I wont need it so will be able to get 'first married night' lingerie ;-)

I have an idea for my nails, my cousin is a nail artist so I'm going to ask her to do them for me :-)

Guest book I can look for :-) I'll be getting a big wish list together on bay of e and let Nicky decide which one :-)

MOH posie is in with my bouquet which I've chosen..

Not thought about her hair... Think I'll need to see what dress we get first.. And just her normal make up will be fine, maybe a bit darker eye shadow than normal..

Centre pieces are in with the venue package aswell and absolutely GORGEOUS !!

KelBel - Thats what I thought too ! I dont want to be panicking nearer the time wondering why on earth I didn't do it sooner !!
I'm going to order all the kids packs when I get paid tomorrow, just to say I have something for the wedding coming haha !! I also have an anklet ordered as well, as I'm not wearing shoes, I needed something to pretty my feet up lol..

Lana - My dad is making the cake topper being the handy so-and-so he is :-)
The napkins sound lovely but we're on a tight budget.. Though, may research them just for the heck of it hehe :-)
My bouquet isn't real because it has lillies and black roses.. 1. My cousin had lillies and they stained her dress something rotten.. 2. Black roses dont exist, if you dye real roses then the dye comes out if the get squished which will stain my dress or the darkest real rose you can get is a really dark red, so silk ones for me :-) Plus I get hayfever something rotten and my MOH gets it 10x worse than me !! Haha..
Favours - I thought lotto tickets but now I reckon I'm just going to do chocs in bags cause trying to find favours for the tweenies was proving impossible !! And it would annoy me if someone won something haha !
I wanted a wax seal made up but have no idea where to find a personalised one :-/ Any clues ?

If you google it, there's lots of companies that do wedding favours/invites etc that do personalised seals, and u can buy the wax blocks in different colours too quite cheaply x

why don't you go to college to do a short course to keep you busy, something that you can tie in with your wedding, like caligraphy, baking etc.

Emma-Louise - I'm a total OCD organisation freak haha.. I need to look for new favours now as I changed my mind to be more accommodating to the 12-15 year old guests as we have nearly 10 of them.. So that's another added to my list of to-do's :-)
I'm thinking of getting him an engraved watch, but we've said only get each other presents if we have some spare money left over after the needed things xx

:-( I know how you feel.. I've been engaged for 3 years now, started planning a 2012 wedding that we had to cancel in 2011 and pushed our target back to 2015, so I've been waiting since 2011 to start planning again !

We've been engaged 3 years and thats gone scary fast !! I know between now and then will fly by, but at the moment we're waiting for our 4 day weekend this weekend, and then our 2 week holiday in June and time is creeping by very slowly it seems ! Lol..
Our venue already had the first 3 dates I asked about in 2015 booked so seems everyone is getting in quick ! Ours is frozen at 2013 prices as they only started selling our package the night we went to get a quote which was last week..

I'm probably going to have to wait to sort MOH dress and shoes out as its my sis in law (bro's gf) who has miraculously decided (since we've started planning ours again) that she now wants to get married, not only that but she wants it next year so it's before mine.. So I will have to wait for her to get their wedding out of the way before trying to involve her in mine.. xxx

Trust me Georgi Mine all ideas as the oe cannot sort anything out as got ages to go till 2016 no one taking booking yet till maybe middle of 2014 Its the waiting game and I suggest do try to get your rings earlier as the price of metal goes up every year and some companys let you keep the prices f the year you ordered your rings in =D ♥ X

Yah know me know and Ooh ok fair enough it your weight goes up and down it is best for you to wait to get your rings then and I will be lucky if im able to book anything from mid 2014 as they still may not be taking booking for 2016 =D ♥ X

Finally some good news so from July August next year I can start making deposits and booking things putting my plan into motion Exciting times ahead =D ♥ X

Im thinking of making the chair sashes myself and center pieces as the Eden Project do not set up the Biome they are also limited to deco as they close a 4pm plus why ruin the Lush Green Foilage of the Biome it has its own inner beauty in it own little world still havent booked my break away yet will hopefully book it before the end of the Month or May =D ♥ X
