It's not that bad babe, I've done a boot camp class before for 12 weeks, not denying it's hard but really is worth it and you'll notice a big difference! Well done you x

Ok, have officially signed up and paid for the next round which starts Monday at 6.30am! It's 45 minutes, anyone have any idea what to wear for this? As it's nearly Nov I was thinking jogging pants, a t-shirt and a zip up on top - or would I be too hot jumping around?

longest 45 minutes of my life - but have been assured it does get easier! I don't exercise full stop, have had a gym membership for a year but never gone, so wanted to do bootcamp as a kick start - there were ppl there who've been doing it every month since May and everyone was really encouraging though so am looking forward to Wed and not wanting to give up just yet!

Miss Lyndz I just googled 'boot camp' with the name of my city as well, and found a few sites offering it - so get searching!

omg, woke up during the night and after feeling fine all yesterday, felt like I'd fallen down the stairs! But I can still move today, just a bit achy - here's hoping the aching gets less the more sessions I go to - roll on 6.30am tomorrow!

1 week in and I've lost 4 cm off my waist, that's 1.5 inches!! OMG! And yes, felt so bad after yesterday's session in that I ached everywhere, so was dreading waking up today but I feel fine - so perhaps the body is getting used to the exercise after all! It's actually quite nice having the sun come up during the workout too! Still feels like the longest 45 mins of my life though each time!

Are you eating differently also? How many do you do a week? Im considering this for next year (wont be able to afford it till fter xmas) but Ive been losing weight by eating less recently and toning up. I still would like a few sessions before the big day to get those last bits of flab off.

It's 3 sessions a week of 45 mins, Mon/Wed/Fri - I'm trying to follow SW but the weight wasn't coming off, so I'm still having 1/3 of my meals with green veg/fruit, cutting the fat off meat etc. The first 2 weeks I started the bootcamp my weight went up by 0.5lbs each week but I think that was the start of some muscle forming/toning etc - think weigh in tonight will finally show a loss woohoo! Some gyms I've seen do boot camp as an included session, mine is basically £60 for 12 sessions over 4 weeks - but I find it better than paying for a gym I've not used in over a year! Plus I'm seeing results and as there are set sessions I find my attendance rate is good - it's too easy for me to 'forget' to go to the gym! And weirdly I also find it quite enjoyable too, even though at the time I'm all sweaty and out of puff! I found mine by googling 'bristol boot camp' and lots of options came up, there's even one that's pilates based - so check out your local area and see what's available :-)

bridalmiss - if you can afford it, I'd suggest investing in a body composition weighing scale. Gaining weight is not a bad thing if the number of pounds of fat you are carrying is going down. Because fat takes up more space per pound than any muscle or water, you will still be smaller, which is what counts when it comes to fitting in your wedding dress. Plus you will look better if you are more toned.

The problem many people face when they try really hard by eating the right things and doing more exercise is they don't see the drop in weight that they expect. This can be very de-motivating, yet it could be that they have made great strides in replacing fat with muscle. It's a sad fact that many people lose heart and give up just at the moment they should be high-fiving and celebrating how well they are doing. A body composition scale helps you focus on the right things, i.e. amount of body fat.
