    If you go to registry office they have a pack (well they do over the hill) Mine had all the info I would need, and more, and a discount card for local wedding businesses.

    I'm now a married woman

    book now! we booked our registrar 18 months in advance and couldnt get the time we wanted. we can't give notice yet but the date is all booked for us. it varies between different areas how soon they will let you book but i would check yours all book as soon as you can x

    i know,id of been avin a reception but no weddin.lol.beta get sorted soon as we havent even decided on church or registry office yet.we wanted civil ceremony but the place wont know if its ok till end of yr.x

    I have know my soulmate for 27 years and on the 6th August
    I married him and became Mrs Garnham.

    Now....... I have been advised by the registrar that we can only book one year in advance to the day, so if we want first choice of times then we need to phone up first thing on that day. You then get 4 weeks to give notice of marriage. it can all be done later than that but that is the earliest. so if you leave it till a month before you may be very restricted on the time or even if a registrar is available........ good luck x x

    We booked the registrar on the 23rd July this year, getting married 23rd July next year. We have our 'intent to marry' appointment on the 7th September, where you get the lience from. Have you got your venue booked or reserved for the date? If so, call the registrar that covers that venue (the venue will be able to tell you which registry office) and find out when you can book. Ours cost £450 for the registrar to come to the venue and we would lose £100 if we had to cancel. The marriage licence costs £67 and it's £3.50 for every copy of the marriage certificate.
