Well, after cutting our 'list' down to our top three we went on Saturday to look at them and have decided on a venue. YAY! It looked amazing in the beautiful summer sunshine and I can only hope we get the same weather when it comes around. Its way off yet, 17 July 2015, but I can finally start telling people its booked, we have our date, its official. I had not mentioned it to many people or even divulged who I want as bridesmaids as it didnt feel 'right' before having the venue and date sorted.
We had considered bringing it forwards a year (my mum keeps nagging that its too far away) but to be honest, I think the little extra time to plan will be nice, plus I am in the middle of a degree course at work which I just dont think I will be able to focus on and plan a wedding at the same time in the space of a year. Im pretty organised, but I dont want a breakdown lol!
Now onto the next task.....photographer!
Hope everyone elses planning is going smoothly. Looking forward to getting stuck in now and getting some ideas from you amazing ladies.

Yep definately alot more real, and now I feel like im aiming for something rather than just an idea lol! Sounds odd but weve been together so long we never had a formal engagement, it was always "we'll get married one day".
We've booked Leigh Park Country House Hotel in Bradford-on-Avon. Its perfect as not too far for people to travel but far enough to be private and in the country.

MrsH-2B have you managed to get much done then? Next on my list is photographer and wedding insurance. I'm really trying to tell myself to relax and enjoy it, but I get itchy just thinking about all the things that wont be organised for ages lol!

Congrats on booking the venue.
2 years is great amount of time to save money and do things exactly how you want! We had just over 2 years and now only 9 months to go. Its gone really fast but weve managed to check loads of different suppliers and get a good deal. Weve also managed to pay a lot off on direct debit so you dont feel the punch so much! Its nice to spread the cost and the buying. We limit ourselves to 1/2 things month! Happy planning! X
