We've finally booked our Honeymoon after searching for about 8 months! We're going to Kenya on safari for 4 nights, then a night in Nairobi and then 9 nights in Mauritius :) so excited! We're getting married 21st April 2012 and then honeymoon on 22nd May :) so will be going away for a week after the wedding - maybe in a nice cottage with our little dog :) Where is everyone else going?

We're off to the Maldives in September 2012, we booked for 8 nights but got an email from the travel agent who said there's no flight with that airline until the next day, and as it was more expensive to change flights, it would be better for us to pay an extra night and stay 9 nights away - oooh go on then!
We're getting married in June and so are planning a 3-4 day mini-moon after the wedding, we were thinking of the Lakes or Scotland but H2B told me on Tuesday that he's found a great place to go, and he's not going to tell me where until we need to go! What a surprise - I hope it's good!!! So exciting!!

all sounds really exotic peeps were not going anywhere, cant afford to with both of us not working. plus wed rather get the flat sorted may resort to a couple of nights in the venue after the wedding....xx

We are going to abederes for 1 night Samburu for two nights, Ol Pejeta (where they have a chimpanzee sanctuary) for one night and the masai mara for 3 nights Its a flying safari so most of our journeys are by plane :)

I think we are going to do that for our 1st wedding anniversary Mrs Midgley :) I went to iceland a couple of years ago but the weather wa too bad for 4 nights so we didnt get to see them :(

We are going to Djerba for a week. we get married in May and arent honeymooning till august purely because noone could get a week off in May to stay at mine with the kids and they have to be in school. So after the wedding it will be straight home for us for a quiet sunday with the kids. I am excited about August though as means we still have something to look forward to I havent left the UK in 8 years since the kids were born so really cant wait (they are going to haven with Granny for the week)

'@Nicsquared I hope we are lucky and the weather and planet movement is in our favour. I will be gutted if we don't get to see the lights. But I am sure it will still be good what with the cosy log cabins reindeer, Santa, snow etc etc. I think I am really stupid, I have never heard of any of those places. Where are they? Are they in Africa? I am so thick! x

We are getting married in Jamaica so will be having a little bit of a honeymoon after the wedding but we plan to go away as a honeymoon alone on our 1st year anniversary, not sure where yet though will see how much we get as gifts from family and friends. H2B is interested in Egypt thought so maybe there. x

The are all in Kenya - Im sure you will have a fab time mrs midgely 2b. We had an amazing time in iceland despite the weather. One of my favourite places in the world, and ive been to a few. Plus we were staying near a town so you get light pollution which interferes with your chance to see the lights. id go to all of the scandanavian countries if i had the chance.

we are off to egypt, have wanted to go there for years and my sister and aunt so kindly offered to have our children for a week for us this year so that we could go but when we set the date for the wedding last year we decided rather than going on hol without the children this year then again next year for honeymoon we would rool it into one, never been away from my children for more than a day so not sure how i am going to feel leaving them for a week but my sis and aunt are great with them and i know they will be more than fine, with being spoilt rotten etc!! xx
