Right this is the story...
Bearing in mind I live in Hertfordshire, none of my BM's live close by... So I am taking that into consideration..
Am I making a mountain out of......
We have 5 BM's... Carla and her 14 yr old daughter Beth, live in Liverpool, Nicki is at Uni and based in Cambridge, Emma just got a job as a travel rep and is in Greece for 6 months, Carmel is my Bro's fiancée and live in Cambridgeshire...
I have emailed numerous ideas, pics etc to them since 1st May, I have had the odd reply but nothing else... Not even a 'do you want to go to look around shops for bm dresses' nothing.
I can appreciate they all have their own lives to live in one way or another but I would like some help. At the end of the day its part of their job being a BM... Surely??
So I was thinking last night... Hen Night/Weekend... I know I don't get married for over a year but if they cant be bothered to come back to me about dresses and ideas could I ask them to organise my hen do? NO... I feel like I will be doing it myself. With the help of a friend who isnt a BM!!
Its as if I don't trust them, but I do... I love them to bits otherwise they wouldn't be my bm's. Maybe they don't understand the responsibilities of being a BM, perhaps they just expect to show up on the day in all the gear that we are buying. We aren't asking them to contribute. But I am giving them options, asking their ideas and opinions..
2 are red heads so I have to make sure the colours I pick suit them, the others are fine as they suit most colours.
I just feel cheesed off.
If it wasn't for you guys I wouldn't have gone to get the wedding dress, chosen my CP's and colour scheme.

Maybe you need to take the first step of getting them all together to discuss ideas. With one in Greece it can be difficult, but the others should make the effort for one day.

Sometimes people don't realise others expectations of them... and with it being more than a year away non-brides don't realise how much work there actually is.

I agree with Dove. Maybe they dont realise exactly whats expected of them. I have a feeling I'll have to give my two bridesmaids a wee kick up the backside when it comes to the nitty gritty but I think it's because they're not sure what do to exactly. Organise a get together and let them know exactly what you want from them. xxx

Its making my blood boil, can understand Emma cant come and will be hard for the Scousers as she doesnt drive, which to me would indicate do more via email and phone etc.. But no nothing.
Maybe in their heads its a while to go they dont need to do anything.
Just frustrating and I am anal, I will hold my hands up to it and when I want something done it has to be done then.
If I dont hear from them for 2 weeks I'll text them saying not heard from you, did you get my mail, lol!
My SIL to be talks to me about it but with 2 small kids the conversation never sticks. So god knows.
Do it all myself and they can lump what they end up in, thats if they end up being my bm's..

Sorry, was having such a great couple of days but then someone mentioned are they helping and I thought... No they arent,. then SH*T What will hr hen do end up like, lol!
Worried but I am going to have to ride this one out arent I!!
