My friend is Asian. We have been friends over 25 years, so naturally she is my maid of honour.
I am happy for her to wear her Asian clothes but she said might decide to wear a bridesmaid dress like the other girls.
Just wanting some advice on styles of suitable BM dresses for her and/or cover ups... The wedding is in August though so I don't want her to end up being too hot.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

I suppose you need to ask her really. If she ends up with something a bit different it would be OK as she would then stand out as MOH.
For a co er up you could get her one on those tasseled kimono things or there are loads of really nice poncho style wraps about at the moment.

I agree with Steph ask her what styles she liked as she could send you pictures and then you could narrow it down from there. I'm not sure what the dos and don'ts are for her. But if you can't find anything then maybe get a seamstress to make one as your be able to get exactly what you want and they can use a lighter fabric so isn't too hot. I've just had to have my bridesmaid dress made as wanted similar to my moh but not same and in a small size and was looking at £240 from shop so have had it made for £50 getting it end of month so hopefully it's as amazing as her reviews are :)

I had an August wedding and one of the bridesmaids made the dresses, and made stoles of the same material, quite a light one so they weren't hot. If you MOH does wear an Asian dress she could maybe find one in the same colour as your other bridesmaids, and then they could all have matching stoles.
