Hi everyone,I am having 6 maybe 5 bridesmaids (sisters eh? more trouble than they're worth) and I am having a dark/emerald green colour scheme for my wedding and I am having an awful time trying to find short, dark green dresses, has anybody else managed to find any? and if so do you have pics of what they are like? trying to cater for six women is a nightmare!

Hi Nicole, you can colour match with a local bridal store if that is where you want to get your bridesmaids dresses from. If not I would recommended l1ght1nth3b0x and also a bay of the e seller called sw33th3art2115 as they offer a wider variety of colours on their dresses than most sellers if not maybe try the wedding service in d3b3nham5 xx

I got mine from litb, I was impressed with the quality of them, the only surprise I got was the custom charge on the doorstep. I was not expecting that but that was probably me just not reading the small print.

You're welcome. They have 3 short styles in Emerald green called Lexie, Bridget and Chloe. I struggled too to find long dresses. My BMs are wearing Katie.

ooh i love the Katie one Laura, i wish my bms would have preferred longer dresses there are just more options for style, one of my BM's has scarring on her chest and would prefer to cover it nd she also has a very large chest and so a dress without straps is out of the question, another one can't have the neckline too high as she says she feels like she is being choked. it's turning into a disaster

Oh dear Nicole, sounds like you have your work cut out with that lot! I'm sure I won't be the only one to say this but perhaps you need to remind them it's YOUR wedding. At the end of the day what you want goes. I can certainly sympathise with the BM who wants to cover her scars but perhaps the one who doesn't want a high neck needs to be a bit more understanding.....and less of a drama queen lol If you let them all dictate to you then you'll never find the right dress.

What about having the same colour but different styles? Is that something you would be open to? I am only having two BM's but you couldn't get more different in terms of boy type so I am hoping to get the same colour but different styles (within reason) although that might mean going somewhere more bridal. At the end of the day though it is your wedding and you should go with what you want. Good luck xx

lesley honestly im wishing i had done the same! but each of the them are so important to me, only 2 of them are my sisters, one is an absolute gem and the other is the opposite - not spoken to her in three weeks because it old her i dont like the way she speaks to my parents (she's 22 and lives with them, she should have more respect) she's even gone as far to say that it's going to be awkward when everyone is getting ready at my parents house for the wedding and she won't be.

Blimey! I feel for you big time, hopefully she grows up a bit by the time your wedding comes around! Is she the kind of person who can see your hurt and stop being silly or is she oblivious to her behavior (although you have really answered that in the fact she isn't showing your parents respect). Has she now said then that she doesn't want to be your BM or just isn't going to get ready with you all?

ohno she thinks she is right in all she does, it's a shame because we were so close before recently. from what she has said she just won't be there at all. I mean of course i wished she would be there but at the end of it all she is the one that will miss out so i'm trying to not let it get to me x
