Right, so we did my seating plan ages ago... All sorted and ready to go! I was happy with it and so was H2B.

My uncle originally wasn't going to come, as he was hit by a train a few years ago and lost a leg, and he felt people would be staring and he felt uncomfortable, however I've now convinced him that I really want him there so he's coming. He changed his mind a after the table plan was done, but it's not a problem, I can add him to a table and make a table of 9, no issues.

H2B has 3 sisters and no matter what I do, I can't please them and his mum... I was going to have 3 of my close friends and my sister (along with my daughter) as bridesmaid, and H2B's niece and 2 nephews as flower girl and page boys. However his younger sister who doesn't have kids then apparently got upset as she felt 'left out', so I agreed to have her as a BM in place of one of my friends.... His other 2 sisters (one of which suggested me having his youngest one as a BM in the first place!!!) have since been making snidey remarks constantly about them not being BMs!!!! So now, we've asked them to do a reading...

Anyway, back to my table plan.... I have all my BM on one table and all the Ushers on another (aside from MOH and Best Man who are at top table)... Now his youngest sister is moaning that she'll have to sit on her own away from her family...

His middle sister is sat with her partner and her daughter (FG) at the second table.

His other sister is on another table with her husband and 2 sons (the PBs) , his Aunt and family as his Aunt has a larger family so I've kind of spread them across the two tables with the sisters....

His mum, after hearing about my uncle coming, sent him the following text (changed names to sister 1 for the oldest, sister 2 for the middle and sister 3 for the youngest):

    "going to be a pain :( :(
Tanya said her uncle is coming to the wedding now (which is great) and that would b 9 on that table, could you please reconsider Aunt's table? and sister 1's. if you could put Aunt's lot bk with her and put sister 2, partner and flowergirl bk with sister 1 and boys? think flowergirl and pageboys should be together :) then 3 odd ones (MOH family) where sister 2 was. Even sister 3 would like to sit with sister 1 but that might not be poss?? it's worrying me :( x it would be even better if you could tell Tanya it's ur idea!! dnt argue plz but have a look for me"

    I am FUMING!!!!!!!

No 1 - It's MY bloody wedding and people will sit where I put them!!!
No 2 - His youngest sister wanted to be a bloody bridesmaid, she can sit with the rest of them and not ruin the entire look of my tables!!!
No 3 - How dare she do this and then tell him to tell me it's his idea, she KNOWS it will cause an argument
No 4 - His eldest sister did not give a shit where I sat at her wedding, I was sat on my own with his middle sister's then boyfriend who I didn't know, who got hammered and then kicked out of the wedding and who they all hated!!!
No 5 - She was there when I did the table plan and knew how long it took and how frustrating it was!!!!
No 6 - She's done her usual trick of trying to guilt him into changing it to suit her by saying "it's worrying" her... It's a bloody 2 hour meal and they're in the same room, not getting sent to the four corners of the Earth!!!!

Am I right to be feeling so angry??? H2B hasn't said anything to me yet, I saw the text on his phone earlier....

Sorry it's a long ranty one!!

Yeh definitely have it your way..I plan on splitting our families up and putting them half and half on the tables..same with friends as my h2b's family can be very cliquey so they'll just have to do as I say!

Yeah, I'm going to, I just know this is gonna be an argument when he decides to bring it up...

His family are the only thing we really argue about. His mum guilts him into giving her money constantly, and not small amounts either... She texted him last time asking for £600 and even when he told her he didn't have it (we're saving for a wedding!!!!), she then texted him a massive sob story about how his younger sister isn't coping with uni and keeps crying (she's always seemed fine when I see her, and when she's on nights out with her uni mates etc), and how his mum will have to get another job but she will find it so hard as she had a car accident and hurt her shoulder, but she'll have to do it as she has no other option, H2B was her 'last hope' and he ended up giving it to her.
She took a grand of his savings off him while he was travelling and when he didn't even know if he had a job to come home to, which meant he didn't do all the things he wanted to whilst travelling...

God, I have a lot to get off my chest about her...

I'd tell her to sod off, tbh, if she was like that with h2b asking for that amount of money all the time emotionally blackmailing etc and it was leaving us short I'd be kicking off. It's one thing to help out family in obvious meed, but its another when its constant and obvious pi$$ taking. There being kind hearted and there being a mug.

If you decided to have children then I'd expect him to completely cut all ties with the purse strings and if you already do have kids.... Well....for shame

Don't go out of your way to please them as they clearly aren't taking your feelings into consideration and are only arsed about what they can get out of this. Tell her/them nothing more about the seating plan. Or anything else fort that matter. It's bog all to do with them.

This is definitely a situation where you can just smile and nod, and then just do what you want to do. Or just say you'll take it into consideration and then immediately change the topic.

Definitely stick to your plan and sit people where you want them to be!! It's unfair of them to cause such a fuss xxx

If you have finalised the seating plan and you are both happy with it then I would just keep it as it is. You can't please everyone, if they ask just tell them you have sorted it and it won't be changing. X
