Right this is a massive rant. Went down to see my bms to check their dresses for alterations. Other bms are fine and have in fact lost a bit of weight so they feel comfy in their dresses on the day. SIL2B chose the size dress she wanted knowing if she chose the smaller size she couldn't put any weight on or it wouldnt fit. she has gone up 2 dress sizes since April! Her dress is bursting at the seams to the point I thought it would split on her!

Her general attitude towards being a bridesmaid has been aweful she wasnt going to travel to get her dress fitted so we had to send family to fetch her. Before we had arranged this she said if its too much hassle to get me fitted I just wont be a bridesmaid.. she is so lazy and rude! Dad says my mum shouldn't break her back trying to alter the dress as sil2b knew the crack with the dress and blatantly hasn't been bothered by the consequences. Mum insists she will do it and then dad said at least make the extra panel out of a different colour and embroid it with "fat patch".

I know it sounds harsh but i'm fed up of her basically making out our wedding is no big deal!

    Sorry ladies Rant over xxx

EDIT your title has beed edited as the boss man doesnt like swear words or even starred out words on the front page as it doesnt set a good impression when showing the site to potential investers

Sounds to me that she doesn't really wanna be a bridesmaid hun if shes diging her heels in so much

why not just cut your losses? She might play the victim card and try to wind you up over it but surely thats preferable to her carrying on the way she is

how the hell did she go up 2 sizes 3 mths without being preg? bugga me i'd be questioning that, as far gettin a dress to small in the fisrt place was the daftess thing to do, it's easier to shrink a dress than up it that daft fool sounds like she's nowt best pleased at you marryin to me

Have ur H2B have a word, because if she's not interested really your mum will be doing all that work for nothing! (I sew and it's so much easier to take in than let out!) and u'll probably give her a gift to thank her for being a bm, when she's just been an added worry you don't need!

yeah fat patch sound great :) but honestly how can u be like this ordering a dress a size to small... arggghhhh i would rather order it a size bigger just in case but also gaining 2 dress sizes omg in 3month... unbelievable... i would be ashamed and embarrassed if that sort of thing would happen to me ... so actually i would speak to my mum not to alter the dress as she doesnt seem much affected by it and not bothered at all... sad really do have someone like this in the bridal party...

Loving the idea of the fat patch! Selfish moo. Super worried this was going to happen with my SIL who insisted we bought her dress 2 sizes smaller than she is atm. Little does she know we've bought her current dress size instead as there's no way she'll fit the other one!

To be honest, I would tell your mum to hold off as 4 weeks could easily mean another half a stone if she's putting weight on. If you want to keep her as a bm to keep the peace, get your mum to wait so that she's not having to let it out again - she can do the unpicking and be ready to alter it say 10 days before. It's sad as the girl obviously doesn't realise that she's not going to look good on the day in the photo's and she'll regret it in the future.

Lovin' the fat patch, you have got to go with that idea :) Also, is she going to be paying for the alterations? I would seriously be having words hun. One of my BM, happens to also be my SIL2B, hasn't bothered showing up to any fittings. They have one on Aug 26th so the dress that has been ordered was done with the measurements she gave h2b. I had to sign a waiver thingy at the dress shop to basically say that I understand the dress ordered my not fit!!! Now it's a huge possibility that it won't fit right but due to her lack of commitment and selfishness she's been told and my future in laws have been told that if it needs altering then we are not footing the bill. We've paid £245 for the dress, she can pay or they can pay to make it fit right. If they aren't prepared to then she goes as a guest and the dress gets sold. Simple as that. Can't bare people like that!!
