Hi Ladies, we're getting Married abroad, and have decided to have a blessing when we get back, for my Nan Who is unable to fly, and therefore will see me have our marriage blessed. What I'm wondering is, how do we take the day, do we treat it as a wedding day, with the wedding breakfast etc? We are having an evening reception also. Hope you understand what I'm meaning. Xx

I wouldn't treat it as a wedding day as you've spent loads getting married abroad already! Speak to your vicar and asked what has worked for other couples.

We are getting married abroad and having an evening reception when we return but not the whole wedding breakfast etc as we are having a sit down meal on the actual day.

We had a 2nd day back here a month after we got married in Vegas. We had a blessing in our local park at 4pm, followed by a party from 5pm (we had lots of children coming) with a buffet and disco. Hx
