Hello.. As most of you will know me & my H2B are getting married abroad in may 2012, just the two of us. we were suppose to be having a blessing back in plymouth for family & friends to witness (also so i can have the traditional wedding in a church) in july but realisticly we arent going to be able to afford it.
so me & my H2B were talking this morning and we have decided to have a church blessing with all our family/friends present hopefully next year on the 8th may, which will be our 1st wedding anniversary (if we can get the same date that is)
what do you ladies think?

Aww thankyou, I have provisionaly booked July this year, but havent been able to get hold of the vicar since lol hopefully il be able to get through to him soon & see if 8th may 2013 is available :) I hope so.

Just realised that the 8th may 2013 is a wednesday.. so alot of people wouldnt be able to come due to work commitments :( which i am gutted about so it looks like it will have to be the following saturday which is the 11th.. Not our anniversary, but atleast it means me & my H2B can spend our anniversary alone :) xx

What a lovely idea Heidi, go for it! If you give people enough notice, do you think they would be able to attend on a wednesday and that way, you'd be able to keep your original date xx

Im not sure iluvcakes, I would hope so, but dont want to risk it, as we arent having any family/friends at our wedding i would love to have them there for our blessing :/ I am kinda liking the idea of just spending the day with my H2B on our anniversary though xx

Yeah we had the same problem with our 1st anniversary. It falls on a Friday so we are going for the day after. I think you going for the Saturday is definately easier for everyone. xx
