Wedding Forum - Black and White colour scheme...

Hi I just saw a thread on champagne , gold and Ivory, so I thought I would copy. Anly ladies with a black and white theme (with various accent colours if you want to join in) it would be great if you could share your ideas. I am having black and white with lime green. Eeek kat that cake in the first post is the same one we've decided to have! I think it's beautiful! Our colours are black, white and burgundy, there's a lot of roses in our wedding :) I haven't taken any pics to upload on here yet but I will try shortly as its hard to explain some things!

I am having a black and white wedding. My have a go at making my own cake. I have two years to practice. Might get fat eating all the cake though.

Mrs B2B i love that cake too and it is my first choice. H2B likes the 2nd on. I would love to see your pics. Sara I like the apples they are a bit different. I made 1 or 2 they are really easy to do, I just cut the name tag onto card and put a grip through them and the apple, dead simple. Theres lots of similar fruit ideas depending on your colours.

LeighS feel free to share your ideas and I am happy for you to 'steal' anything I put up here. I thought about making my own cake but I am useless at decorating them, given how bad I am I actually thought it would be cheaper just to buy it rather than make hundreds of them lol, good luck dont forget to give us picks of it x

Thankyou KatG. I'm going to be making my save the date cards next. I used to make greeting cards for people and haven't had time to craft much due to my job so I'm looking forward to being able to do them myself. Yours are really lovely, I hope mine turn out as nice as yours. xx

Our theme is Black, White and Red (pillar box red) so similar colours to other ladies on here.... i love the monochrome contrast of using black and white.

we are having a monochrome theme with silver accents and it was going to be aqua but we on a serious budget so the bm dresses are at least 2 different blues lol but i have a few pics in my album of things!! xx

These are the BM dresses I have ordered off the bay... I have ordered white pettitcoats to go under them and I am considering Lime Gree Shoes and gloves or clutch bags ... what do you think

Mrs Cerutti 2b I really like your BM dresses and your shoes!! My BMs range from and size 10 to size 18, so this style seems to suit them all. I love that cake design. I have looked at some others but my friends mum is a cake maker and she assures me that she can make it.

I am having black and white with lime green (like the save the date card above). I am thinking of lime green shoes and hepburn style gloves but my BMs are not too keen lol

The BMs dresses are from a well known department store, beginning with a D, reasonable priced too, and I've got bridesmaids from a 8 to 18, and it suited them all. As its lovely and floaty over any lumps and bumps. I'll post the link on your wall :) xx

Mine is black and ivory themed. The BM's will all be in long black one shouldered dresses with diamond sparkly shoes, hair in a low back bun and diamante head piece. The grromsmen will all be in Tux's. I am going to be making my STD's this week, they are minature wine bottles with labels on showing a pic of the venue the date and the link to the website.

As we got engaged in New York I am having a 4 tiered cake in ivory with the black New York black skyline around the bottom and edible crystals for the lights on the skyscrapers. In the middle of the tables there will be black silohette post cards of sky scrapers for guests to write messages and peg them to a rope so we hopefully get the skyline of New York along one wall.

I have white charis with black table cloths - still undecided on the centre pieces yet. - Love this theme and your ideas sound great xx

my theme is black and white with the accent colour of bright red... im going to be in all black and white the red is really for h2b his fave colour "Footie team colours"...lol xx

I have black, ivory/cream and red (roses)
My bridesmaids are all in black long dresses with red shoes and ivory bouquets
My men all have black suits with ivory waistcoats and the groom will have red cravet and handkerchief
I'm thinking of either a red or black pettycoat for under my dress and my bouquet is red
My chair covers are balck with ivory sashs and red roses
My centre pieces are black lily vases with red roses in
my favour boxes are black as are my napkin rings and glass charms (pearls)
My cake is black and ivory tiered
My stationary are all black lace
