well i don't know really. i think because i'd seen my mums marriage break down with my step dad and saw all that crap after, i kind of grew up thinking i don't need marriage and children 'and just concentrated on building my own life but marriage is important to david- he's always saying that if he wins the lottery, he'd move the wedding forward. i run our household at home and i'm in charge or running one of the sattelite houses at work so when i'm exhausted and come home to find that he's forgotten to get the meat out the freezer when i asked or he hasn't had the common sense to put away dishes from the last time before washing and piling them on top (sometimes looks like the leaning tower of pisa), i just get angry and wonder why did i say yes to marrying him

thats just men things tho hun sounds like cold feet and if ur having problems dealing wont you try talking to him about stuff like that? xx

You love him, men have annoying points to them and i know what you mean, neither my mum or dad are in a relationship right now but i have seem them been in loads and not worked and all the upset. To be honest, i think you have a lot on ur plate and it sounds like at the mo ur stressed to the max, you said yes for a reason, what was that reason then?! Have you tried talking to him, i know its easy to get angry and mad but just sit him down tell him you dont want to argue you just want him to understand how u feel! Big hugs xx

My biggest fear is not being able to stand up for the ceremony and having to sit down. I'm hoping that I will have a good day and be able to manage it all but I would hate to end up having to stop and ask for a chair. I know none of my family or friends would care but it means so much to me to be able to do that.

I'm trying to. Was ment to be going to physio today but I had to cancel as my body doesn't want to work. I've got a year though to start getting it to work how I want it to so fingers crossed. I think that we all have something to worry about but it just shows that we care about our wedding day.

My biggest worry is having to drive around for an hour coz H2b is late for everything! (I know he always turns up, but his lateness is a common laugh, even when its my fault his mam still blames him)

hey Rags thats my biggest worry to, my H2b cant be on time for everything, especially when he's with his best man, whose even worse than he is for getting ready on time, when they lived together it was a nightmare trying to get ready on time coz one would encouarge the other to do something else instead lol, although he's been told if he is late then i'll play nicely on the day of the wedding, but i wont talk to him for at least a week afterwards lol :D x

Lol Jen that is a great idea. I would do that myself only he is staying at his mum's as he is really bad at time keeping. She can give him a kick up the backside. I've already told him I will be texting he best man to find out how many times the car has to drive around the block waiting for him.

Hey Linzi I know it is a little different as you are having an outside ceremony but you cant control the weather hun, I was really stressed about the weather on Friday but I sat myself down and gave myself a slap lol, I told myself to stop worrying about something that is beyond your control.. As it turned out the minute I started walking down the aisle the rains stopped and the sun started to shine and it stayed that way all day and night, this then meant most people were outside which meant the dance floor was a little sparse at times but it didn't matter one little bit, I was on the dance floor all night and loved it! But again that was concern of mine before the wedding, again nothing you can do about it cos if people wanna dance they will, I wanted it to start raining at 7pm so everyone was inside lol... Jo, we sat down throughout 99% of the ceremony, we stood just for the vows that lasted 5 minutes, so if you have to sit hun then don't let it worry you, if you need to rest then REST everyone will understand... 5 people didn't turn up on the day, 3 of which we knew about at the last minute but two we still haven't heard from, damn rude but did I care? NO, I thought I would but on the day it didn't matter!! Other people on their tables were very happy as it meant more of our lovely food to go round lol....

If I think of all the things that could go wrong I wouldn't move for worrying. As long as Ross and I walk out of that church as man and wife then I don't care what happens.
Mina sweetheart, I've seen my mum divorce twice and Ross' mum has been divorced too, both of us grew up really cynical of marriage because it seemed like a waste of time - why get married if all it leads to is a decree absolute? You've got to realise though that you're not your mum and your hubs isn't your dad/stepdad, sure you'll have your niggles with each other but that's part of a healthy relationship. If you ever fancy a chat give me a shout xxx

i have to say atm its either falling over walking down the isle ( i dont do heels lol) or just something going wrong. i.e them dropping the cake(its our dessert) , photographer not showing up. something happening to the church

Falling over, i am the queen of clumsiness especially when im wearing heels , i am going to have to practise walking around in my dress and my shoes closer to the time , i plan to choose a fairly low heel as well to to give my the best chance of not falling lol :-)xx

But at the end of the day - I'm just gonna go with the flow and whatever happens happens.

Someone just sent me an email about a bride who had cancer yet still managed to enjoy her day. After reading that all my worries have gone out the window and all I care about is enjoying being with my h2b and enjoying life to the full. Its amazing how other people can inspire you.

i do love David and i know that i want to spend the rest of my life with him but sometimes i wonder if it's worth spending so much money in order to show him that ...but i am excited in my own way. just weddings are more of A David thing whereas i'm more of a doing the house up kind of person. he knows how i feel on the subject so he's compromised on the low key wedding at least .
i think i am just over stressed with all that's going on at work at the moment :( we're going to have a talk when he gets home to see if it's feasible to move back to Yorkshire sometime in the new year

well i've just been moved from one sattelite house to take over and run a second for 6 months but they gave us our new rotas on tuesday and the long and short is they want to cram our 225 hrs over 6 weeks in the form of 2/3 weeks working over 40 hours and all shifts in that house are 24 hour shifts from 4pm one day, sleep in after 11pm and up to work 7am-4.30pm.
i think the week coming up is my 42.5 hours week and they've already rang me on my day off (today) to ask me to do a sleep in shift tomorrow at their new sattelite house as they can't get hold of the senior who is in charge of that one. not looking forward to explaining that one when david gets home especially as at the beggining of next week; we're probablly not going to see each other for 3/4 due to both of our shift patterns ....

i've just thought of my second big worry..i don't like being the centre of attention or having to stand up to speak in front of large groups of people and when i do; i generally get a hot , blotchy red flush across my face, neck and chest. i think i'd be more embarrassed if that happened when walking down the aisle
