Hello girls, Does anyone know of any outstanding photographers in scotland? I'm getting married in Edinburgh and I'm really struggling to find someone who I love their work. It's actually making me feel a bit down as photography is such a huge thing for me. Is it possible to shoot your own wedding.... hehe! Sorry for the rant! Sammi

What kind of style are you looking for? We've booked a guy from my local area on the west coast of Scotland and he's travelling to just outside St Andrews for us for an additional charge of £30 which I think is reasonable. He's called 1mac 1mage5. It's a very relaxed style which I liked as I'm not keen on being in front of the camera. He also does (in my opinion) amazing evening shots. He does a lot of sports photography which I feel make him really good at catching the real moments rather than just the posed shots although he does them too.

Thanks everyone. Budget is not important at the moment. I'm looking for super sharp photographs with nicely exposed skin tones and nice and bright. I'm looking for modern style of images and standout shots with nicely exposed skies/background. I also need great little detail shots,dress hanging up etc and off camera lighting shots for the first dance. Damn that sounds like I'm very fussy!!

Sounds like our photographer lol. Seriously, give in a shot, he's amazing, we met with so many photographers and he was the stand out one by far, not cheap though but we thought he was worth every penny.

I think he is very good but not quite the style I am after. I don't mind paying 2k just has to be right. I hate to be so picky but it is my thing so to speak! Photos also need to be supplied on USB stick as I'm going to make my own album. I'm now planning my own dress, ring and detail shots so I know I have those in the bag! X
