So looking forward to watching the new series tomorrow night, and my h2b loves it too, the only programme about weddings that he watches willingly! Do any of you ladies like it too, or find it too over the top? All i know is it is entertaining, but i definitely won't find any inspiration from it! :)

I haven't seen it before but after seeing the trailers I will be tuning in looks totally wring therefore excellent viewing entertainment lol.

I am sure it is on Channel 4 at 9pm, but don't quote me on the channel, i will just flick til i find it, lol, and yes it does look very wrong. Their dresses are so big they have to be led down the aisle, their dads cannot walk beside them, and last series when one bride had to be pushed into her carriage, that was priceless! You know your dress is too big when you have to walk down the stairs sideways!!!

It would be great fun to go to one! I used to live near to travellers and they always lend a hand if you need help, and are dead friendly, but of course I have seen them in a few fights too but only because they get such a bad rap from some people. Hope you didn't think I was being nasty having a giggle about the dresses, but they are ridiculously impractical, can you imagine how you would go to the toilet in a dress that size, I am panicking about going for a wee in my dress and it is pretty normal! :)

the thing is mrs hall there is no limit on size for them, they say the bigger the scars are they get from the dresses, the better. Its total madness! lol

So going to watch this. Will be watching it when i come home from work so it should be a nice wind down befor bed and the back to work 5 hours later

i dont agree with the whole big dresses, goin out to party wearing nxt to nothing!!

but i also dnt agree that they have to keep the venue secret and if venues find out they travellers they shut he door on them!! as long as they behave ..i dont see the problem!

I think its awful the way they get treated and that venues cancel on them etc. They should have the same rights as everyone else. After all people would be up in arms if someone told them they couldn't get married because they were Black, White, Asian so why should Irish be any different? They pay just the same as anyone else. I do however think that the craze of getting big dresses that scar for life and are so big you can't walk through a door etc is outrageous but then its each to their own. There was one bride on the last series that looked stunning though I think her name was Sammy Jo or something like that and she went for a really elegant slinky dress and stood up to what she wanted not what everyone else did which I thought was good.

I have a lot of respect for the fact that these girls are virgins and don't go giving it out etc and plan to marry for life not until things go wrong.

I will be watching and no doubt having a giggle tonight at some of the dresses.

I know that not all are like 'that' for better or worse but to judge someone because of their culture is wrong on so many levels. Its like going back to the days of when black slaves were thought to be bad just because they were black. There are good and bad in all cultures and it just isn't fair to tar them all with the same brush.

I've known many weddings kick off with family troubles but its like anything else if my guests vandalise the venue its on the h2b's and my head. Its why we take out wedding insurance to cover us just in case. As long as they have the same insurance it shouldn't be a problem.

Ps another good reason you should take out insurance just in case someone gets drunk and does something you get charged for.

it worries me that the girls on the last programme are proud of the scars they achieve from their outfits as it reminds them how big they were! That is just wrong. Im not a fan of the frocks, and I will be watching to have a laugh. The ones with the see thru bits make me cringe, amazing values of virtue up to the big day then let it all hang out for everyone on the big day?? So long as they have a great day, each to their own, but I wouldn't be able to make eye contact with some!

Saw the ad in the paper told my MIL that that the bridesmaids dresses were right up my street ! Had to explain it was a joke. And I would be going for somthing not as bright and pink.

I loved this programme when it was on last time, so I will def be watching tonight. Although I thought it was really sad the last time, the girl who got married at the end to the irish boy, she seemed so sad :( It made me cry. So hopefully this one will be happier!

I know! It's such a different culture to what we are used too. What makes it stranger is that it is happening here in the UK and Ireland, it's almost like an arranged marriage but they get to chose the person. I'm sure it is very scary for them, not knowing what the other person is like behind closed doors!
