Can anyone help. We have settled on Mexico for our honeymoon destination but wondered the best time to go? We get married 28 sep and whilst I would like to go away straight away I would put it back if it's not best time to go. Basically don't want two weeks of rain. This happened when I went to Dom rep at end of nov.

Any advice would be grately appreciated - thanks ladies

I'm no expert, but I think June, Sept and Oct are the rainiest months in Mexico. Might be worth just doing a quick google search, but I agree - you don't want to be stuck in the rain all the time on honeymoon - if you WANT to stay in your room the whole time, that should be your choice LOL! ;)

Your getting married on the same date as me.

We was going to have our honeymoon the week after as that will then be October and were looking at Mexico as well.
Last time we went to Mexico in September it rained for about 5 days so if we was to go back we would go in October. It's still really hot.

What hotel was u looking at?

The weather is inclement between June and October; we've been 3 times in June, which is one of the wetter months, and the worst weather we had was full days of rain and 2 half days of rain over a two-week stay; our other two trips we had just 1 full day of rain.

There is no way of predicting it; however, I personally wouldn't let it put me off, as if it does rain, there;s still plenty to do, plus it's still hot.

    Thanks for the response ladies!

MrsK2B all the best for your wedding day - you clearly picked a great day :-) not sure what hotel we are thinking of, we saw one in a brochure months ago and now H2B trying to get me to find it again - all he knows is that it has 20 bars and lots of restaurants - men!!!!

i think you get more sunshine hours in the normal summer months but apparently more rainfall too. We've been to two caribbean islands in June and both were hot with small amounts of rain each day! We're also considering Mexico/Barbados so hopefully we will get some decent weather too! xx
