We have no idea where to go for our honeymoon next year; we just can't think of any places.

Is there anywhere; you guys would recommend whether you have been their for your honeymoon (if already married obviously ;) ) or for a holiday?

    Thank you :)

That's what we want. We have a budget of around £2000 for the honeymoon so don't really want to spend too much over that as we need to keep money for food; day trips; gifts e.t.c

Never really fancied Mexico but thanks for the suggestion and I was considering Cyprus MrsH but h2b doesn't seem very keen on it :S

The first thing you need to do is decide your budget before anything else . ....once you have done that go to a travel agents and pick up loads of brochures

We went to Kos last year in the Summer and that was lovely!

I do agree Lala, get an initial idea and then speak with travel agents and see what they can find within your budget. I'd recommend T.Cook over any others. In previous experiences (including yesterday!) they have always found us very good deals and accommodation.

We are going to the Dominican Republic. But last year we did get a good deal to Cuba- might be worth looking at- it was under 2k for us both.

I think it depends what you want TBH. My 3 favourite destinations are Mexico, Punta Cana, and Cuba, followed by Spain, and I liked them for different reasons.

Mexico: the hotels are AMAZING. Gorgeous rooms, great service, and literally everything is included: many don't require reservations for the a la cartes, for eg, you get 24 hour room service and top-shelf drinks, etc. It's ideal for a relaxing, romantic holiday, but there is also plenty to see and do off-resort if you fancy it.

Punta Cana: beach is lovely, resorts are a good standard and usually much cheaper than Mexico. It's a great budget-friendly choice IMO; we've been 2 years running and paid £1150 pp both times for 2 weeks at a great hotel (lovely rooms with four-poster beds, mini-bar and room service, 6 pools to choose from, unlimited a la carte dining, decent shows) inc flights and taxi transfers. There's less to do off-resort, but it's ideally if you just want to relax and sunbathe.

Cuba: love the culture; loads to see, very interesting country, some fantastic beaches and snorkelling.

Spain: close to home, cheap, awesome food, lots of culture.
