O.k, this has been brewing and now i'm FUMING!!! O.k, my best friend got married to my H2B'S best friend last may, all very sweet you may think, but at new year it came out that she has been having an affair with my brother in law to be. . . confusing i know, now, my brother in law to be lives opposite me and recently she has been coming to 'see me' but then disappearing for hours at a time (you can guess where to) Her husband (my H2B'S best friend) has been coming round crying saying that she keeps telling him that she doesn't love him and he thinks that she's got someone else, which puts me and H2B in an awful position, Well i said earlier that it came out at new year, well it came out to our immediate family, but not her husband, my H2B's best mate. . . you still with me??? Now my mother in law to be has vented her feelings as, my brother in law to be has just got out of prison and is a recovering heroin addict. . . Yes i know, it should be on Jeremy Kyle!!! Well she feels that this is going to make him go back to how he was, and now because of this she is refusing to come to our wedding as my mother in law will be there (obviously), as will my brother in law. . Her husband is unaware that she won't be coming and will obviously want a reason why. . . What a palava hey, i might add that i haven't spoken to her in nearly 2 weeks as she assured me it was over and then i found out it wasn't. . . (she has 3 children with her husband and they have seen my brother in law to be coming and going, poor children!!!) HELP

Can't wait to become Mrs Hardwicke. . .

What a nightmare hey?? i really want to tell him, and i would if it wasn't my brother in law involved, that would cause so much trouble within the family. We've been best friends for years, but all of a sudden i've gone completely off her! Thanks for the post. Xx

Tell to F off the next time she runs up on your doorstep to "visit you" and disappears to him instead. Your not being her alibi!!! And if it was me i would have told the husband. I know some people wouldn't do that as its their business etc. and shouldn't get involved. But she is involving u by putting u in that position! And the poor guy obviosuly knows shes seeing someone so he needs putting out of his misery :-( x

What a real nightmare, I can understand why you needed a rant hun. You have to ask her to be honest with herself about the whole situation and get her to make the right choice, before the choice is taken out of her hands. I don't mean that as a theat but the truth has an awful way of coming out when you don't want it to.

wow what a nightmare I really don't know what to suggest although my gut feeling it that her husband should know what is going on and you should not be burdened with this secrete I am not sure how you would do this though!

I know, i really do want to tell him, but i know 1) she will deny it
    2) he will probably believe her
    3) we will be the ones in the wrong. . .
    Arggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
I think that i will say to her that if she doesn't tell him by the end of the week then i will, hopefully that will scare her into telling him herself, if not then i think i will just say to him that i am 99% sure that there is someone else, but not say who, leave that up to her to tell him???

Yay Laura, not long now, how are your plans going? Xx

Oh dear! The thing to remember is that the truth always comes out in the end and you have to decide where you want to be when it does. How will the husband feel when he finds out he was the last one to know?

I'd tell your friend that she has to sort it out or you will tell the husband what has been going on. You are going to have to stick to your guns and give her a time limit. A couple of days to decide what she wants and who she wants. Otherwise, it's all going to get worse, the husband may feel that you have been ganging against him as you haven't told him whats going on.

It's not a nice situation and I hope you figure out the best thing to do.

yh i definately agree. she needs sorting. she cant be much of a friend, mother or wife to be treating those close to her like this!
it disgusting and, if i was in ur situation i would definately tell the husband what going on cos i cant stand liars, 2 faced ppl and cheats! so i wouldnt have any 2nd thoughts of spilling the beans on her dirty little secret.
stick to ur guns hun. she obviously not a nice person
    xx

I told her that if she didn't tell him then i would, so she told him, and 2 hours later found him hanging in their wardrobe. . . .thankfully not dead but very close, and is now in hospital, where he has attepmted twice more to take his life, feeling very guilty now, maybe this is a case of better off knowing. . .

Wow. What an awful end to it all! Don't ever feel guilty though, things like this can never stay secret for long, especially when everyone knows each other!!

Remember also, she wasn't the only one in that affair...

If she wanted another man or wasn't happy in her relationship then she should of just walked away instead of doing it this way! I hate selfish people. I feel for her husband so much right now, I hope he funds the strength to move on without her and funds true happiness else where. Good luck to him! And don't feel guilty you only done what was right, he will thank you for it and he'll need you x
