Hi Rhonda, The wedding Journal show is on in Kings hall soon, poss Feb? And there is a fair in Belfast Castle on Sun 5th Feb there is quite a few on around this time, you're best bet is the wedding journal show, most wedding suppliers from NI are there :)

Ahh I see, what venue have you chosen? The wedding journal show is really good for getting contacts, especially if you can pay deposits on the day etc as they offer exclusive offers.

Yes we are getting married in our church here in Lisburn and then our reception is in Tullylagan in Cookstown. It's quite quaint like The Old Inn, when we walked in it just reminded me of Donegal, where I love, they even had a turf fire going, and I just look at Chris and we were thinking the same thing, this is the one! It took us ages to find somewhere that ticked all of our boxes for such a resonable price, but when we did it was like yaaay :) We have practically everything booked bar transport so if you need contacts or advice just ask :)

I went to the wedding journal show there when it was last here in the summer I think it was. Great place and even if you don't find anything its a nice day out and some free drinks/cupcakes if you go to the right stalls haha

Yes I got a free scruumy cupcake :) It is good but a little manic, it usually runs over a weekend so I think the best day to go is the Friday as it is a little quieter due to most people being at work. I loved watching the catwalk show :)

the tickets are on sale already. You can pay in on the day but I'm sure you save money by buying them online. Just Google search the wedding journal show kings hall 2012 and the site should come up for you and has all the information on it.
The old inn really is lovely btw we almost considered there but wanted somewhere closer to us in newtownabbey

I got my cake sorted today, 4 tier, amazing flavours for a grand total of £200! :o You couldn't even buy the ingredients and tins for that!
Has anyone here in NI got thier wedding transport sorted yet? We are not that fussed so hoping somebody knows of a cheap car company :)

the cheapest we have is 425 for a 8 seater doing 2 journey's and a smaller car for me and my dad goes from that slowly up to 650

I know, it's crazy the price! I am worried about getting a vintage car as we have an hours travelling and I would be worried about it breaking down?! And it also takes longer in a vintage car, as they are speed limited, so we don't really want to be spending and hour and a half in a rattley car lol! But then I have a quite a large dress so I don't think I would fit in a normal car back seat :( Stuck

Roxy glad you got the cake sorted that is a great price you got, even with our wedding planner discount it is costing us a lot. where did you get your cake from?
I am not using cars as me and the girls from my bridal party are staying in our hotel the night before for a pamper session before the big day..
If i hear of any deals with cars I will let you know xx

Hi Rhonda, we got out cake with The Sugar Room, the guy that runs it John is fantastic! He is running an offer for jan which is 3 tier cake for £200! And his cakes are out of this world, I think they have a page on bookface. Ahh that's lovely that you are stayoing in venue the night before, unfortunaltey there is an hour between reception and church so that wouldn't work for us :( But thank you so much for keeping an eye out I reall appreciate it
