It can take any time really hun. Every one is different. I had a friend who with her first pregnancy took her a few months, so when she wanted a second, she thought she would start earler then planned but it happen pretty much straight away.
Same as me, my first was a while but tht second straight away.
But if you feel nothing is happening, then go see the doctors. They can do test's to see if you can or can not, or if you might just struggle but will get there.
I think best thing is though, dont worry too much about it, I'm sure it will happen. :)

my first took a year, my second took 1 'attempt' lol.
I've heard that on average it takes about a year for the first and then each consecutive baby is easier to concieve. HTH

Firstly don't let it stress you out. Try not to get into the downward spiral of thinking theres something wrong with you 5 months is still pretty early days. If you have come off the pill or implant that can sometimes slow things down until your body is back in the swing of things. Have you tried the predictor kits? They tell you the best days to try. Good luck and stay positive. xxx

i hope so because everythink is perfect and we both want a baby to add to our little family, it was my other half how sed he wanted one and i agreed, i dont get how my friend had a one night stand and is now 15wks gone but my mom sed when you want a baby it doesnt happen straight away . i try not to think about it but when iv got my friends talking about baby things it just makes me think about how much i want one. i hope it happens soon as i feel ready and it would make me even happier then i already am.

Me and my other half are starting to try for a baby and when I went to the docs for a check up and get some advice he said that the average couple takes 9 months to conceive. Though obv some people will take less time or a bit longer, he suggested that we give it 12 months and if nothing had happened by then, then go to see him. He suggested that I not expect to conceive right away as this would put my body under pressure and then it would take longer. So our plan is to not expect to get pregnant and lay on the pressure and have lots of fun trying, but if we havent conceived within 12 months il be down the docs to check.
Hope everything works out hun xx

Like everything, its worth the wait. Like I said 5 months is pretty early on in the 'trying' process to be worrying that there may be something wrong. This is an extreme length of time but my tutor when I was at college tried for 8 years and then decided to go for IVF....they stopped stressing and trying as they were hopeful the IVF was the answer. A few days before there 1st appointment she found out she was pregnant ....naturally! xxx

Yes definately place all the emphasis on 'having fun trying'
I came off implanon and for the first few months nothing happened we stopped for a while due to moving house and in fact the only time we did it the month I got pregnant, was on the occasion I bought an american cop outfit to surprise him on his birthday. Werent meaning to try on that occasion but It did the trick. lol xx

8 years is along time, but they must have been so happy when it happened naturally.it probs sounds sad but i have a nice fuzzy feeling now lol :) ive been reading up on things to do to aid conception but Iv suggested to the other half that we just go out and get drunk then come home, seems to work thats how most of my friends got caught. being relaxed obv has a massive impact xx

There are a lot of little things to take into factor too that may help.

Does h2b wear tight fitting undies? If he does make him wear loose ones as tight ones end up making him a bit hot "down there" so loose ones help the air to circulate. Also hot baths are out of the question, just avoid anything that will make "down there" a bit hot really lol.

Also smoking can hinder the process a little as it can possibly reduce your fertility and can reduce h2b's sperm count.

The best days to get pregnant are between the 12 and 16th day and obviously everyone's different but i found trying every 2nd day seemed to help as I'd also read somewhere that its best to give h2b a couple of days to "replenish his stock" fully lol

But remember everyone is different, my first took 11months to concieve but the 2nd took... well 2/3 nights to concieve (both were planned) so you just have to stick with it

If you still have no luck after 12/13 weeks of trying then go have a chat with your GP they may also tell you the above things but it will be a step in the right direction. But until 12/13months dont put too much thought into it all

    xXx

just found this on internet for you:

    The stats

Statistically a healthy, fertile couple have a 1 in 20-25% chance of conceiving a each cycle, with approximately 80% falling pregnant within 12 months of actively trying. This approximately translates to 25% of couples getting pregnant in the first month of trying, 60% within 6 months, 75% within 9 months and 90% within a year and a halr, so if that much wanted positive test is taking a little longer than expected you're not alone.

It is currently considered perfectly normal to take up to a year to conceive and unless you have any specific health problems your doctor is unlikely to recommend further investigations until before this time. If you have been actively trying for over a year without success your doctor may suggest that you look into some form of fertility monitoring just as a precaution. For those over the age of 35 it is suggested that you see your doctor after 6 months of unsuccessful trying. This is simply because fertility begins to decline after this age and prompt investigation will allow any problems to be identified and addressed earlier.

When i was trying it took 8 months and seemed to take forever. dont put too much pressure on yourself! having sex every other day is a good idea aswell. i read that when i was trying.

the docs wont do anything till you have been trying for at least a year so just keep trying and having fun for now xx

i believe though in my heart of hearts that it will happen for us 1 day..........it just takes time chick....... i really wouldnt worry about it not happening yet..... and bare in mind there is a lot of options for people out there who cant concieve (not that u should worry about that right now)

dont stress hun im sure it will all come in good time- they say it can take up to 2 years for someone to get pregnant- if you wanted to go and be sure nothing is wrong just for peace of mind then your doctor needs to know you have been trying for at least a year - just keep 'doing it' lol, good luck and hope it happens for you soon xx

It took me and my ex two and a half years to concieve and he had the odds stacked against him he smoked, drank, and was 15 years my senior (yep I cannot believe I wanted a child with him either! But anyway my son is here and beautiful!) And it took me and Dan seven months to concieve our daughter and although he dosn't smoke or drink and is two years younger than me (far better choice! ;-) ) He has had various op's on his groin area and although this dosn't affect his sperm count, he seemed dissapointed in how long it took to concieve. I wasn't surprised at all and didn't even expect I was pregnant when I did the test as my periods are irregular at best and sometimes never arrive at worst :-/.

I think like the other ladies just have fun and don't worry as it will happen when it's right, and certainly no need to worry yet.

    xx
